Or maybe you fancy a trip on a glass bottom boat, or a catamaran, or the popular boat trip to Formentor, on the Bay of Pollensa - a lovely scenic trip, plus free time on the beautiful beach of Formentor. For the families, there is Hydro Water Park, with fun for everyone, or the family fun pubs, such as Cheers, or Woody Woodpeckers. Cook up a barbecue at home, and enjoy it ' al fresco' on the terrace, or eat out - there is a huge variety of restaurants, to suit all budgets, in Puerto Alcudia! It´s all here, and all under the warm Spanish sun!
The surrounding area:
There is much to keep you occupied in the nearby area to the apartment, and it can all be reached by foot, so there is no need to hire a car. However, there are some lovely nearby places to explore, which can be easily reached by car, or taxi.
The headlands separating the bays of Alcudia and Pollensa, have some lovely , quiet smaller beaches, off the mainstream tourist track. Aucanada is on the east side, with fantastic views out over the Bay of Alcudia. Try 'La Terraza' for a drink, or a lovely meal, right on the seafront. On the west side is Bonaire with its small boat marina and diving centre; Mal Pas, with lots of sandy beaches and coves; S'Illot, a local picnic and swimming area with fab views across to Pto Pollensa and Formentor; and keep winding up this road until you come to La Victoria - a great restaurant and bar, with views to die for! Book a table for the evening, and watch the sun slowly set over the Bay of Pollensa - magic! Don't forget your camera!

There is something for everyone in this resort. Older couples will enjoy the laid back atmosphere, and younger families will enjoy the entertainment for children of all ages - from pony rides for the very young, to horse riding for adults and older children. The hydro park for a fun filled day on the waterslides. There is mini golf, and go- karting. For real golfers, there is the beautiful golf course of Aucanada, just 10 mins by car from Puerto Alcudia.

Market days are on Tuesday and Sunday mornings in the old town of Alcudia - a treat in itself with its 800 yr old Roman walls, stone facades, narrow streets, numerous art and craft shops, restaurants and bars and outdoor cafes.
Equally enjoyable is the promenade, or paseo ( large strolling area) in the Port of Alcudia - to admire the many yachts, or sit in the sun at an outdoor cafe, with a glass of wine, and watch the world go by!
