Tastefully decorated, the ground floor apartment is set amongst 1.5 acres of terraced olives and almonds trees, overlooking the delta and popular village fishing port and beaches of L'Ampolla. Ideally located for country walks and bicycle rides. The open plan lounge/diner includes a well equipped american kitchen, dining table for four, a double sofa bed and satellite television. The main bedroom has a king size bed, fitted wardrobe and dressing table. Outside there is garden furniture and sunbeds around the 10 x 5M pool and a BBQ, ideal for relaxing with a glass of Cava and enjoying the beautiful sunsets over the mountains. Although the owners live nearby in the annexed house, the apartment has its own separate entrance and is private and quiet. Use of the garage is provided although there is plenty of parking space. All linen and towels are provided (except beach towels) and also use of two bicycles. The apartment has central heating so is ideal for out of season breaks.

The property is situated 5km north of the fishing port of L’Ampolla, on the edge of the famous bird sanctuary that is the Ebro Delta, anglers paradise. L'Ampolla itself is still unspoilt and full of family owned restaurants, bars and small shops. The harbour is modern, with a marina and nautical club. There are many beaches within easy reach. Along the coast there are many small towns and villages, each with their own individual charm. Each village has it's own market day, an adventure in itself. For the young at heart, Salou and the theme park and water parks of Port Aventura are just 30 minutes away by car or train. Just a little further will take you to the historic city of Tarragona featuring a Roman amphitheatre. In the other direction, the local administrative town of Tortosa offers a myriad of shops, restaurants and park areas. Barcelona, to the north, and Valencia in the south, are 2 hours away, by car or train. Venture inland toward the mountains and enjoy spectacular scenery

This is a great place to stay, being only 3 or 4 miles from L'Ampolla and within easy reach of major roads. Its location, within acres of terraced olivegroves, means it's quiet and has great views, especially from the pool area. The apartment itself is very well presented, clean and well equipped, and the owners, whilst living in the adjoining house, are not intrusive but are there if you need them. L'Ampolla itself is a gem - marina, beaches, lovely houses and plenty of restaurants; by no means a tourist hot-spot, more a typical Spanish seaside town. L'Ampolla is also on the main coastal train line so it is easy to extend your sightseeing further afield - Barcelona for instance. Although there are a couple of local supermarkets in the town, there is a large Mercadona on the nearby delta where you can stock up for the week. We would certainly recommend this apartment, particularly for couples wanting a lazy relaxing break.
Owner's Response: This has been our first year renting our newly built apartment. It has been a great success, very popular with visitors from all over europe. We shall be spending the winter months further enhancing our property in readiness for next year.
