Photos and Description of this Sineu holiday house Elegantly restored Mallorcan Town House - an ideal retreat

A large town house, situated at the very centre of Mallorca, and created as a dedicated venue from which to enjoy the surrounding countryside, with several open communal rooms and an enclosed garden patio, with a total accommodation of 7 double-bedded rooms, all with en-suite shower and WC. It is less than 50 yards from Sineu’s main clock tower square, and opened in April 2008 after a two-year refurbishment. The renovation involved completely restoring the house, using local craftsman and traditional materials, with all new roofing, walls and flooring, to create an up-to-date luxury Mallorcan home whilst retaining the traditional style. All rooms are uniquely different and have been individually decorated in a simple but elegant style, and the house has a large, well equipped kitchen and dining for up to 20 people. It is English owned, and is used for part of the year as a country house-party venue, and as a base for rural activities and cultural courses.

Nearest Airport: Palma de Mallorca at 32 Kilometres
Nearest Ferry: Palma at 34 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 19.5 Kilometres
Car: not necessary
Well away from the usual tourist routes, the historic market town of Sineu is full of architectural and cultural gems, and has a vibrant local community. It was the old Roman capital and home to the Mallorcan kings. The seven-centuries-old weekly market (one of the few remaining markets with livestock) still takes place every Wednesday. Open countryside is only a few minutes walk away, with rolling hills and a myriad of easily accessible tracks and country lanes passing through beautiful rural landscapes. Close by is the local open-air swimming pool (open June-October), with lawns, parasols and sun-loungers, and also a popular restaurant and bar, tennis courts, and a velodrome. Sineu is easily accessible by inexpensive public transport (so no need for a hire car or expensive taxis), and Mallorca’s glittering capital Palma, is only a 20-mile train journey away.
