Very comfortable and cosy traditional Cornish cottage, which is full of character with beamed ceilings and a stone fireplace. It is equipped to a very high standard for four people + travel cot. Features: Comfortably furnished Sitting/dining room with TV, DVD, CD player. Smart fully equipped kitchen with quarry tiled floor, breakfast bar and window looking out onto raised patio garden. Pretty modern bathroom with wc. bath, shower and vanity basin. Two bedrooms – one double, one twin - with traditional latch doors and fitted wardrobes. Rear stable door opening onto courtyard and pretty patio garden with garden furniture and BBQ. Full central heating. Gas and electricity, bed linen and towels included. No smoking. Not suitable for pets.

Wren cottage is superbly located in the historic town of Lostwithiel. Lostwithiel nestles on the banks of the River Fowey, which is spanned by a Mediaeval bridge and the town is overlooked by 13th Century Restormel Castle. It has a wealth of excellent restaurants, pubs, cafes and interesting shops and is known as the ‘Antiques Capital’ of Cornwall. It is the perfect base for exploring Cornwall’s stunning locations, historical houses and sites, wonderful tropical gardens and many other attractions. There are many activities such as watersports, horse riding, golf, surfing, cycling and walking in the immediate area and The Eden Project, Charlestown with its famous square rigger ships, the beaches of St Austell Bay, the historic port of Fowey and the rugged beauty of Bodmin Moor are all little more than 15 minutes drive away.

Great week in Cornwall

There is not much to say that has not been said in the existing reviews. The cottage was clean, as described and fondly furnished. Lostwithiel is an absolute positive surprise. It offers anything a tourist may wish for within walking distance. Renting was very easy, E-Mails and Questions are always answered very quick and very friendly. Strong recommendation!

Lostwithiel is a lovely little town with a quaint high street, including a small museum, and the walks along the river and on the moors were great fun.
We took full advantage of the cottage's central location to explore Cornwall and Devon although our favourite day out was a mere 15 minutes drive to Fowey!
The cottage itself is clean, well-maintained and very thoughtfully funished and equipped. With virtually everything from oven gloves to children's reading books, we missed very few of our home comforts.
The owner was very courteous, friendly and unobtrusive in her dealings with us and this helped us feel more at home at the cottage.
We'd have no qualms about recommending the cottage to friends or relations.

We had a lovely week at Wren Cottage. Although it was November, the cottage was very warm and cosy and very well equipped with everything we needed. Lostwithiel is a lovely old town with lots of character and there are several good pubs and restaurants just a few minutes walk away from the cottage. There are so many beautiful locations right on the doorstep and if you don’t want to use your car, there are lots of places within walking distance and a train station just down the road. We hope to return in the summer.
