Cannes holiday apartment: Cannes

Fantastic second floor apartment with views to die for, especially the fantastic firework displays! Nice gardens but no swimming pool. Bus to Cannes every hour stops outside but finishes early. Only critism is that the WiFi is downstairs and not always available. Nicew airy spaces with balcony, we spent quite a few days in the apartment rather than go out and about. Interesting arrangement between bathroom and master bedroom where there is a large clear glazed porthole, so you need to remember to put the blind down!

The description was accurate and the property was spotless and well maintained although it had a lived in feeling which we liked. It does not have a/c so a fan would have helped. The agents were very helpful and arranged pick-up and drop offs from/to Nice airport by taxi although this costs €85 each way.

The location is quiet in the up market part of Cannes which means that its elevated and a bit out of the centre. If you want a beach holiday remember that the beaches in Cannes are heaving during the season.

We come to Cannes for MIPIM in March (a property festival) when things are manic so it was good to come and relax. We found no need for a car, the buses are a flat fare of €1 regardsless of whether you are going one stop or to Nice and beyond.

One recommendation is to take the boat to St Honorat and go to the restaurant have a magnum of Rose before going in to lunch, then I challenge you to finish the main course, the quantites are huge!

The only reason not to recommend this property is because we want to come back next year!

Overall I had one of my most relaxed holidays in a long time.
