The hills of Wales out side the windows with the sheepdogs and sheep the other side of the stream. Walk or cycle the beautiful green valleys. Cardiff just 30 minutes away offers the visitor many attractions, shops and restaurants. Walk the Brecon Beacons explore the Waterfall walks, Tyn-y-Wern B&B and the cottages are an ideal base to explore Southern Wales, coast to hills. Steeped in the Valley's history, Tyn-y-Wern was once the residence of the Lady Windsor mine manage, the house has been lovingly restored to its former glory. Now offering a country house B&B and just 2 cottages converted from outbuildings in the beautiful grounds of the house. Pontypridd 3 miles away has good bus and train connections. Children and dogs welcomed, safe storage for bikes, with a laundry and games room for the guests use.

Criafolen (rowen tree) and Ffawydden (beech tree) are semi detached sympathetically converted outbuildings in the grounds of Tyn-y-Wern Country House. Each cottage has an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen comprising of cooker,dishwasher,microwave and fridge. The living area has a dinning table for 4 and a double bed settee. The shower is a walk in wet room and the bedroom can be either a double or twin bedded room. Wooden ceiling and doors give a Scandinavian effect to the interiors.
