A converted farmhouse on the Lazio Umbria border, one hour from central Rome, 10mins from station with direct rail link to Rome and airport. Swimming pool set in two acres with olives, friut and vegetable garden. Unspoilt rural location with views of nearby medieval hilltop towns. House has three self contained suites with separate entrances and a large outdoor area (loggia) for eating, cooking and relaxing. Local restaurants and good walks, Poggio Mirteto, for friday market and most requirements, is 10 minutes drive. Car is necessary. £450-1000 per week depending on season. Weekly cleaning and linen change included. Swimming towels provided. Local restaurants are good and many with locally sourced produce, Poggio Mirteto also has a shop which makes pasta daily and supplies meals for a reasonable cost.

Unspoilt, wooded area, good local pecorino cheese and famous for olive oil. Good for walking - local hilltop towns, villages not touristy. Local markets all year and many fiestas in summer. Views of hilltop towns and Sorate mountain. Area is very peaceful and rural.

Farfa: Farfa abbey is 20minute drive away and well worth the visit as is the fransiscan walk and abbey on the way to Reiti, there is a national park with walking excursions near Cottinello 30mins north and an area set aside for summer pastures for the horses which is also worth a visit, it is at the end of a road which begins in Cottinello. All the local villages are worth exploring but keep an eye out on the local notice boards for festivals which are held throughout the year.
