Parkdale, is a peaceful,safe, attractive,convenient ,beach side suburb of Melbourne. Parkdale is a village on the shores of Port Philip Bay. It has an excellent selection of cafes, restaurants, take aways and there are shops for every requirement. Positioned between Mentone and Mordialloc, Parkdale is on the direct train line to the city, is close to the Highway with a direct route to the airport either by car or airport shuttle bus. A long safe swimming beach is on the doorstep with boats available for hire. There is a Surf Life Saving Club and Yacht Club. Parkdale is within the City of Kingston and in recent years has become a much sought after area in which to live with house prices increasing dramatically.There are excellent private schools such as Mentone Grammar, Mentone Girls Grammar, Kilbreda and St Bedes and with easy access to Southland Shopping mall, Movie theatres, tennis courts, Bowling alley, coastal walks and bike trails Parkdale is a delightful location for all ages.
