Our estate:
The focal point of the 27 hectare estate is “Villa Guardatoia”, a 17th century villa which is a historically listed building due to its history and scenic landscape.Rural farmhouses have been restored to their original state and divided into comfortable apartments. The Marzalla Agriturismo complex contains a splendid 6 by 12 metre “ecological”swimming-pool (where the water is treated by salt only, no pollutant chemical products are used), which is open from June 1st till September 30th. CASA NATALINO is an antique farm-house situated above the swimming-pool and divided into three apartments: each apartments has its own garden with a table, chairs and two deck-chairs.They are available all year round, with private entrance and garden, furnished with antique and period furniture, provided with washing-machine, dish-washer, equipped kitchen, telephone, satellite TV, heating with thermostat and separate meter of consumption.
Our services and activities:
The swimming-pool overlooks the picturesque vineyard and deck-chairs and umbrellas are provided. There’s a pond for fishing, a volleyball court, a football field, a shaded park for relaxing walks and we provide mountain bikes. You’ll find public tennis-courts (300 metres away) and a riding-school (5 kilometres away). The estate also offers: a conference room, which retains the charm and decor of the original “carriage room”, which it has replaced, and can seat up to 40 persons, should you wish to hold a meeting or convention. The room is equipped with a sound system (for speech), a projector, video-recorder, telephone, fax and free internet point.
The restaurant, a long-established, very romantic location run by the Cecchi de’ Rossi family, where you can taste exquisite dishes from traditional Tuscan cooking.
Our product:
The farm has been run by the Cecchi family since 1600 and mainly produces olive oil, wine, Vin santo and honey. The excellent quality of this produce is the fruit of the physical characteristics of the soil, together with the dedicated professionalism and experience developed over the years by the Cecchi family. We will be happy to accompany you on a guided tasting of our produce or on a guided visit to our cantina (wine-cellar) where you can taste a good glass of Vinsanto or red or white wine You can also visit the coppaia with the antique, earthenware jars for olive oil (called “coppi”) and the vinsantaia, where the grapes for our wine “Vin Santo” get hung for drying and the casks (called “caratelli”) are kept.All products produced by the Azienda Agricola Marzalla are available for purchase directly from the farm. We also offer a service of preparing delicious gift-boxes for presents or special occasions, which can be sent anywhere in the world via Express Mail delivery service.
