We have just returned from spending a week in Greenaways and it was a thoroughly enjoyable stay.
The property is exactly as described, the kitchen is very well equiped, the whole chalet was very clean and for the last week in October is was plenty warm enough without heating even at night.
There was plenty of room for myself, my partner and our two children (aged 4yrs and 16 mths) with toys and films to keep the older one amused on the one afternoon it rained!
It is well located for easy access to lots of the local attractions and a pack with brochures to all of these is available in the lounge.
The owner was very pleasant and helpful with accurate directions (more useful than the satnav we had!) and information on the areas local services.
We visited Woodlands - great value fo kids of all ages, Becky Falls - beautiful walks by a waterfall on the edge of Darmoor, The Steam Railway Round Robin - A lovely day trip on the steam train, ferry trip up the Dart and a bus back to Paignton, Crealy Adventure Park - Expensive entry then you have to pay to get on the rides once you're in. We did the Train and Crealy on a previous stay in the summer.
I have family in the area and so holidayed here a lot as a child. There are some fantastic walks around the coast but cycling is not for the faint hearted! Devon has some very serious hills!
