10 day holiday 16th to 25th September 2009

Anasa Villa is in a stunning position above crystal clear sea. The house is furnished to a very high standard with lots of little extras that made all the difference - beach towels, powerful hair dryer, bath robes even Moulton Brown bathroom goodies! Also, unlike many holiday houses we have rented, the double bed was extremely comfortable. It was incredibly peaceful - most of the time we could hear absolutely nothing, which is remarkable in this day and age. No aeroplanes, motorbikes, cars or music. It is almost at the end of a deadend road with only one house beyond.
As it was quite late in the season there was only one of the 4 or 5 restaurants open in Kalamakia (about 5 min drive) + a small hotel cafeteria which we didn't try. However, they were all still open in Steni Valla (about 10 mins by car). We tried them all, but 2nd from the right (with back to the sea) was probably our favourite, although the lady at the 1st on the right was very jolly and friendly and her food was pretty good as well.
We did a couple of walks and drove the end of the island one day - (where we had 2 Amstels and 2 very good kebabs for 10 euros), but spent the rest of the time just reading and admiring the view.
Mobile phones work at the house, which is amazing as just a few hundred yards up the road and for much of the island there is no signal.
We were very well looked after - escorted to the house from Patitiri (about 30 mins away) and are certainly considering a return visit asap!
