Area Information:
There are many tourist attractions close to Casa Punta Lara. Nerja Town Centre, with it's cobbled streets, shops and restaurants straight on it's doorstep. There is a choice of over 300 restaurants and bars, to cater for all your culinary tastes. The famous 'Balcon de Europa' , from there you could take a horse-drawn carriage to view the town. Tuesday is market day in town.
The nearest beach is within 10 minutes walking distance, and there are more beaches at Torrox Costa which have all beach facilities. But you can find many more beaches at Torre del Mar and the secluded bays between Nerja and the Costa Tropical.
A little more inland, there are many whitewashed hilltop villages, truly spanish, to explore. One of the most beautiful areas of the Andalusian countryside is the National Park, which stretches from Competa right up to the Sierra Nevada.
Activity Information:
Facilities are close by, where you can swim, sail, windsurf, scuba-dive, paraglide and fish, to name just a few. You can book excursions to Malaga, Granada, Alhambra, and other tours from the travel offices in town. For the very ambitious, there are also trips to Gibraltar and Morocco. The area around Nerja is famous for it's walking trails, to the caves of Maro and the Almijarra mountains. For more unusual activities, we can send more information on request. The nearest Golf Course at Caleta de Velez is approx. 15mins by car. There is also horseriding and Tennis very close by.
How to get there:
It's very easy to visit us here in Nerja on the Costa del Sol. Flights to Malaga are available from all major and regional airports in the UK and budget flights are available. You could hire a car from the airport if you wish, but to stay at Casa Punta Lara, it is not really necessary, unless you want to explore the surrounding country side. Parking is easy just outside the property.
