Casa Mari-Cruz is a large detached villa, laid out as two independent living areas, sharing a large private pool and BBQ area, making it ideal for an extended family or group of friends. Accommodation on the upper (main) level comprises a large living/dining-room, separate kitchen, two bedrooms (one double and one twin) sharing a bathroom., and a further bedroom, with en-suite bathroom, with independent access. Accommodation on the lower level, with independent access, comprises a living/dining-room with kitchenette, three bedrooms (one double and two twins), and two shower-rooms. Outside, twelve people can dine al-fresco, either in the shade of the naya, or on the open BBQ terrace. This area leads to the 10x5m swimming pool with Roman steps and pool terrace for sunbathing. Casa Mari-Cruz is ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac, yet only 10 minutes walk from the attractive bay and sandy beach at El Portet, and 2.5km from the centre of Moraira, with its restaurants, cafes and bars.

Originally a small fishing village, Moraira has grown into a holiday resort with a difference, retaining much of its original character and atmosphere. In the village itself are plenty of restaurants, bars and cafes to suit all tastes, There are Blue Flag sandy beaches, such as the beautiful shell-shaped bay at El Portet, with its gently-shelving sandy beach, idea for families, rocky coves, and opportunities for windsurfing, sailing, scuba-diving and jet-skiing. If the beach isn't your thing, then there is mountain walking in the inland Jalon Valley, golf courses at nearby Calpe, Javea and Denia, or the towns and villages to explore, with their markets and traditions. The theme parks of Terra Mitica and Aqualand are nearby. Casa Mari-Cruz, although within easy reach of the facilities of Moraira, is in a quiet and peaceful area, idea for a relaxing holiday, whether you are looking forward to lazing round the pool, or an active holiday with a haven to return to at the end of a day out

Notes: Casa Mari-Cruz is comfortably furnished, and fully equipped, with washing-machine, dishwasher, microwave, and digital satellite TV (with news programmes in English), and a DVD player with a range of family and children's DVDs. There is off-road parking for four cars - two in the double carport, and two on the gated driveway. A flight of steps leads up from the road level to the main (upper) level and pool - however, once at this level, there are no further steps. Bed linen and hand/shower towels are provided, and changed weekly, but please bring your own beach/bath towels.

Beaches and watersports: For families with young children, the shell-shaped bay at El Portet is perfect; this is a gently-shelving sandy beach, with shallow water, and it is protected from waves by the Cap de Moraira headland. There is a narrow esplanade overlooking El Portet beach, with cafes and bars, from where you can keep an eye on children playing, or sit in the evening and enjoy an aperetif. There is another sandy beach in Moraira itself, where there are pedaloes for hire, and you can also hire jet-skis from near here. Both these sandy beaches have the Blue Flag. Spread along the coast are various small coves and rocky bays - some, like Algas, with bars and cafes, some more secluded. This is a lovely area for snorkelling and scuba diving, and there are scuba diving centres in Moraira, as well as nearby Javea and Calpe, where you can learn to dive, or, if you are qualified, join the divers on their trips. You can also hire windsurfers and catamarans from Les Basetes, on the way to Calpe.

Golf: There are several golf courses within easy reach. The nearest is the 9-hole San Jaime course, on the border of Moraira and Benissa, approximately 5km away. The Javea golf club, also a 9-hole course, is approximately 7km. Slightly further, about 15km, is the 18-hole Denia golf course.

Theme parks: Terra Mitica, with its white knuckle rides, is about a 40 minute drive. Also 40 minutes by car is the water park of Aqualandia, and the sea-life centre of Mundomar.
