Decorated to a high standard, our house provides accommodation for up to 10 people, a large well equipped oak kitchen, an attractive dining room with seating for 10 overlooking the lake and grounds, spacious lounge with Sky TV and wood burning fire and much more. Set amidst rolling countryside and yet within easy reach (just 1km) of the nearest village which offers facilities such as a boulangerie/patisserie, pharmacy, newsagent and hotel with restaurant - you simply won't want to leave. Ideal for families and groups alike who wish to explore the many local attractions; Puy du Foy, La Rochelle and L'Ile de Re or just simply enjoy the many features this Pavilion style house has to offer.

Set in the Deux Sevres region of Poitou Charentes reputed to be the second sunniest area of France, this is a popular location to visit anytime from early Spring to late Autumn with many hours of uninterrupted sunshine. Located in a quiet hamlet yet within just 1 km from the nearby village of La Foret sur Sevre and just 10 minutes drive from the larger towns of Moncountant and Bressuire. There is something to cater for everyone whether it be the peace and tranquility of the surrounding countryside or the many main attractions nearby; such as La Rochelle, a town steeped in history and fine seafood restaurants, L'Ile de Re with its 30 km of fine sandy beaches, Puy du Foy - a medieval village and chateau with amazing daytime shows and evening performances, Futuroscope (a theme park offering breathtaking multimedia shows, 3D cinemas and interactive adventures) and much more.   • To secure a booking a deposit of 25% is required with the remainder of the balance due 8 weeks prior to your holiday date. Normal changeover date is Saturday but this could be flexible during low / mid season periods. Please feel free to enquire.
  • A refundable breakages deposit of £150 is payable with the final booking payment. This will be returned within 2 weeks of your return date subject to inspection of the property.

Notes: The house is set in a large garden of approx 4 acres with its own private carp lake which is fenced off for security purposes. There is plenty of space to burn off that excess energy and many outside games available to our guests.

A well equipped accommodation which was comfortable, spacious, clean and in tip top condition. The location is ideal for a relaxing holiday but within easy reach of more adventurous attractions (adventure parks, Futurama and go-karting) and only an hour from the beach). The local Hotel provides a very good restaurant offering high class French cuisine, but other equally tempting establishments are also within easy reach. Peace and tranquility are in abundance and the resident ducks are a joy to watch around the lakeside. An ideal location to "Chill out", unwind and forget the credit crunch. We have no hesitation in recommending this facility which is accurately described.
