Photos and Description of this Salcombe holiday house Rural setting - overlooking estuary

Roosters is a sunny, south facing, 'New England' style house on a hillside overlooking the beautiful Salcombe estuary. Surrounded by farmland with wonderful views, large garden and ample parking. It has two double bedded rooms with ensuite bathroom and shower facilities and one twin bedded room. There is a separate bathroom and a laundry room with the whole accommodation on one level. A bright airy kitchen communicating with the large open plan living/dining room which has full length windows on all sides providing panoramic views. Oak flooring and exposed beams in the sitting room with doors leading out onto a large deck and veranda providing ample space for 'al fresco' eating. A terrace leads on down to two ornamental ponds and lawns with flower borders. Roosters is an ideal base for walking and well behaved dogs are welcome at the owners discretion. It is equally ideal for artists because of our magnificent scenery. Not suitable for toddlers and small children due to the ponds.

The South Hams has some of the most stunning scenery found anywhere throughout England. With sun, sea and sand Salcombe offers a perfect holiday retreat. Roosters is down a lane off the main road coming from the market town of Kingsbridge and is wonderfully placed for discovering all the delights of the area. Dartmouth is nearby and a great number of small Devonshire villages are all within easy reach. There are two main golf courses, one being at Thurlestone with its good local pub and hotel. The famous Burgh Island makes a perfect outing. Horse riding, all water sports and of course wonderful walking on Dartmoor and locally with coastal footpaths to explore. Salcombe itself with its fashionable shops can be reached easily on foot and has lovely sandy beaches.
