Photos and Description of this Pigi holiday villa Charming and luxurious villa in the middle of a traditional Cretan village.

The villa: Arxontiko tis Ioannas is totally 93 m2 and partially built of stone. The villa has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, living room, kitchen with a dining area and open fire place. Internally the house has been equipped to a high standard and includes such features as jacuzzi, air conditioning, central heating, fully fitted kitchen and LCD television with sattelite receiver.. The sofa folds down to provide extra beds. Externally there is a very pleasant court yard of mature plants and trees -a perfect place to sit and relax during the long, warm summer evenings. Also situated in the courtyard for your enjoyment is a Jacuzzi/hot tub, and a staircase leading up to the roof terrace witch is perfect for sunbathing.

The villa is situated in the heart of Pigi village, only 50 meters from the village square. Pigi is a traditional working village that has changed very little over the years. Although close to the tourist areas it has retained its characters and offers all those who visit it an opportunity to experience the true Cretan lifestyle. Wandering around the narrow streets of whitewashed houses you sense that you have stepped back in time. To time when life was so much more relaxing than today. For all its natural charm and beauty, Pigi is well equipped to cater for all its visitors. There are two mini markets, a pharmacy, butcher, bakers and two tavernas who serve traditional Cretan food. Buses for the town of Rethymno pass through the village every hour. The village has easy access to both the local beaches and the highway, making traveling to either of Crete’s airports, or exploring the island, very easy indeed.
