June 2009. We have had a great holiday at Ferry View Bungalow. The facilities at the property are second to none, there is everything for one's need. The location is superb, residential but rural, secure, quite and out of the way, yet near to supermarkets and Kyrenia town where there are excellent and very reasonable restaurants.
The landscaped gardens and pool area are magnificent and are very peaceful for a relaxing holiday in this superb climate. The whole essence of the site and location is extremely spacious with wonderful views of the sea and mountains. The bungalow too is very spacious, air-conditioned, extremely clean and well maintained with excellent lounge (with sat TV & radio/CD player), dining area, fully equiped kitchen, bedrooms and bathroom facilities. It has own private terrace for outdoor eating/relaxing, accessed from lounge and master bedroom, that gets plenty of sun if you want it and shade if you don't. Additionally, there is a roof terrace with spectacular views.
The pool is fantastic and poolside facilities are really 'something', including 'BBQ House' with luxury furniture for eating and relaxing in shade whilst enjoying the spectacular views and ambience.
The owners Reni and Bob are most friendly, kind and helpful, providing a wealth of local knowledge and very high level of hospitality.
Reni is very professional and attentive in the booking process (email & telephone) and provided us with the provisions we requested for our late evening arrival. She really made it all very easy and all you have to do is get on a plane and enjoy your holiday.
We fell in love with the well-behaved dogs Sonny & Stitch and really wanted to bring them home with us.
The best restaurant was Niazi’s where the T-bone steak at £10 was fantastic and reasonably priced bottles of local wine. Local beaches are very good, we liked the one near the Mercure Hotel, great views and very reasonably priced for the loungers and brolly. Also there is a very good restaurant at the top of incline to the beach.
Car hire is essential and Reni and Bob will sort this out for you if required. Roads are good and driving easy at these speed limits.
Would we recommend to a friend - most certainly.
