A spacious villa with open plan kitchen, dining room and bright sitting room on the ground floor. The kitchen offers everything for a self catering holiday, 4 ring gas hob, oven, fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine; all brand new. The dining area has a large table and 4 chairs and leads into the spacious sitting room with sofas, coffee table and large flat screen TV & DVD player. Downstairs includes a twin bedroom with separate WC, shower and large double wardrobe. Upstairs comprises of a master bedroom with king size bed and en-suite (bath, double sink, separate WC and bidet), two large double wardrobes and terrace doors onto a private terrace and stairs leading to the secluded roof terrace. There is an additional mezzanine area with a double sofa bed for children or another couple. The roof terrace offers fantastic views of both the mountains and the ocean and is perfect for a quiet drink in the evening to watch the sun go down.

A stunning new development located around the headland of Mojacar Playa, over looking the ocean and backing onto the mountains and hills of the Nijar-Cabo national park. Playa Macenas offers an 18 hole golf course which is beautifully designed to provide the backbone to the resort, communal pool, beach club pool, children's pool, pool bar and restaurant and sun terrace. With classic white box Spanish architecture this resort offers sun, sea and quite for a relaxing holiday. Around the headland from the resort, is Mojacar Playa - This is the 10 km beach front area and you will need a car or taxi to access most of the amenities. Outside of the resort there is lots to do for everyone; visiting the historic hill town of Mojacar, dinning out in one of the numerous restaurant along the coast, diving, horse riding, off roading, water sports, fishing, shopping, Go Karting, Water Park, Wild West Theme Park, enjoying the lively night life and of course sunbathing and relaxing.

There is also a travel cot for babies if required. (You would need to supply your own sheet for this bed) Sliding doors open onto a terrace with stairs leading up to the private roof terrace where you can sit quietly in the evening and watch the sun go down over the sea. Also on this floor is a mezzanine with double sofa bed suitable for children or a couple. The downstairs bedroom offers 2 single beds and has its own shower room and one set of double wardrobes.

Wonderful holiday viila

We spent an enjoyable week in June at this Villa. The villa is beautiful - so comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay and particularly well set up for families. A great welcome pack was provided with good tips on the local area particularly restaurants and attractions worth checking out. The complex itself gives you everything you need with large spacious pools and a relaxing bar area and the villa itself with it's great outdoor patio area and roof terrace give an extra place to just relax and unwind. Venturing into Mojacar was quick and easy where there are numerous beach areas and restaurants to enjoy. Definitely recommend this villa for a relaxing spanish holiday.

We spent a week at Playa Macenas at the beginning of July. The villa was easy to locate and situated just outside the main Mojacar resort giving easy access to all the facilities but with the advantage of extra space and peace and quiet.
The villa is exceptionally well-equipped and was spotless and beautifully furnished. The garden and roof terrace gave excellent private space outdoors whilst the interior of the villa was spacious, cool and calm.
Inside the villa we found excellent information from the owners on local places to visit and see and we took advantage of a number of their recommendations - with great success. At the time of our stay the resort was quiet but with plenty to see and do. The development on which the villa is situated has good facilities including pools and bar which serves snack meals. A very short drive (with plenty of parking) into the beach resort led us to numerous lovely beaches with a wide selection of beach bars, restaurants and shops. Mojacar old town was a great place to visit with lots of small shops to wander around. The Aqua park near Vera was a good half-day visit for adults and children. On the Friday we spent a very good couple of hours wandering around the market at Garrucha.
We didn't get time to try out the golf course at the development but we did meet a few local ex-pats who were very complimentary about it - and pleased at the reasonable prices.
All in all we had a great time for our family of 4 (with 2 teenage children) and would thoroughly recommend this villa.

A great holiday for the family

Just returned from a weeks holiday at Playa Macenas and already looking forward to the opportunity to stay there again! We were there for the first week in June with our nine month old daughter. On arrival at Macenas we were pleased to find an immaculate, well equipped villa which met the demands of a young family in every way.
The villa was spotlessly clean and the air conditioning was fantastic to escape the heat in the middle of the day. Not that we could complain about the weather which was clear blue skies every day and temperatures soaring to approx 30 degrees C. We found the region to be packed with places to go and things to do with great beaches 5 minutes away by car. The complex itself was fantastic and finished to the highest standards. Within the complex, the two pools and clubhouse bar were also great places to go either for the day or a few hours and both equally child friendly. All in all a fantastic holiday and one which we can genuinely recommend to future guests.
