Charmingly restored fully-equipped apartment in historic centre of Montefiascone, a medieval walled town in the heart of the Etruscan countryside. This is a perfect holiday destination -- off the beaten track. A delightful country town unspoilt by mass tourism, yet with Rome just an easy train ride away. Montefiascone overlooks Lake Bolsena which is a wonderfully clean and picturesque lake - ideal for swimming, boating and fishing. You can find genuine local cuisine, wonderful local cheeses, wines and olive oil. Imagine sitting outside watching the sun setting over the lake from one of the romantically situated family-run restaurants which offer local specialities including pasta dishes, lamb, fish from the lake served with a variety of wild herb salads, followed by wonderful desserts. The surrounding area offers some of the most interesting artistic and historic sites of all Italy, without the crowds!
