A lovely break in Provence

We had a wonderful, relaxing two week holiday in St Saturnin. Le 111(3) was just perfect for our family of 4 - clean, spacious, comfortable accommodation, and an excellent, large swimming pool which the grown ups enjoyed just as much as the children (aged 4 and 6). We ate outside on our shaded terrace every day as the weather was fantastic. Everything is close by in the village - a good supermarket, excellent bakeries, cafes, a tabac, a great takeaway pizzeria and a children's play park (for younger children) - all are within a few minutes walking distance. The accommodation owners were on site at the end of every day if we needed information or advice, and were really helpful. Things to do: visit Avignon and take the tourist train, visit the spectacular Pont du Gard, the arena at Nimes, the zoo at La Barben (1 hr away), the crocodile farm at Pierrelatte (less than 1 hr) and the caves at Thouzon - only minutes from St Saturnin (the tour is in french but if you need it foreign language information is handed out at the start). Things to know: when you visit Avignon, park (for free) at Des Italiens and take the free bus into the centre; if you visit Pont du Gard, take waterproof shoes so that you can paddle or swim in the river. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this property and its ideal location. We want to go back!
