Situated on the edge of the largest beech forest in France (1100 hectares) in France (the Forest de Lyons) one one of the most beaitiful .Ideal for ramblers and bikers, there is also fishing, riding and swimming nearby.
Nearby are the villages of Ry, Buchy, Blainville-Crevon, etc. connected with Flaubert's Madame Bovary. In Blainville-Crevon, there is a Festival of Archeo-Jazz every summer in the ruins of the former castle.
10 km from La Feuillie is the pretty village of Lyons-la-Forêt, with its outside cafés and antique dealers. Visit the small market on Sunday morning and drink your coffee in one of the outside cafés.

The nearest town to the cottage is Gournay-en-Bray, 15 kms distant , where there is the biggest market for local produce and especiallyfor fish, cheese, cream, cider, honey, etc (market days : Tuesday and Friday).
There are six supermarkets in Gournay, some selling cut-price petrol and also several restaurants and cafés.
There are numerous banks, the Post Office and Tourist Officde.

You must not give Rouen a miss (where Joan of Arc was supposed to have been burned at the stake by the English). There are several marvellous cathedrals and churches and museums. The main cathedral is lit up every evening reproducing one of Monet's paintings.
Children will enjoy the miniature train which takes you on a guided tour of Rouen.
For shopping you have the Printemps, Galeries Lafayette and Monoprix as well as manyother smaller shops.
