This is a beautiful and very spacious 2 bedroom (150 square meters) apartment in the Larius condo. The French windows and balcony throughout the whole property make it very luminous and offer you wonderful lake views from every room and every corner. The enchanting 19th century ‘Larius’, which was once a hotel and has recently been carefully and completely renovated and is now home to many comfortable and elegant apartments and very popular with visitors from all over the world. Situated on the lake road, running along the western shore of Lake Como, the apartment welcomes you into its elegant open plan living and dining area, with leather couches, and beautiful parquet floors, the colours here have been chosen to blend in with the colour of the lake and surroundings. On the side and back of the apartment, still with wonderful lake views, is the fully equipped kitchen, the 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The main bedroom has ample closet space, a king size bed and lake view.

While spending a holiday on Lake Como, you will have the chance to see much more than you would expect. You could explore its breathtaking surroundings, beautiful villas and picturesque village. You could visit the nearby cities, full of history and culture, such as Milan, Bergamo and of course Como,Bellagio, Menaggio, Tremezzo and Lenno and Villa Balbianello and Villa Carlotta. All travel information will be provided to guests booking the apartment and there is a welcome book (provided in the apartment) with the local tours and suggested walking itineraries in the area, local information and suggested boat trips, boat and bus timetables, recommended restaurants and interesting local traditions. We can also provide an excellent, reduced rate transfer service to and from airports and rail stations, in luxury Mercedes cars and English speaking drivers.

FAMOUS NEIGHBOURS: It is 10 minutes walk away from the 'Villa Oleandra' the villa acquired from the Heinz family by George Clooney, and George has been spotted all along the lake, often mixing with the local people. The Villa Fontanella, once inhabited by Gianni Versacci is 10 minutes drive away. Many Italian film stars, singers and football players have also chosen beautiful Lake Como as their home or holiday home.

INFORMATION BOOK: In the apartment you will find a very helpful information book, giving you lots of information about the lake, lake transport, what you should see and do while you are here. In Tremezzo, just 20 minutes drive away, is the Villa carlotta with it's very important botanical gardens and in Lenno, the Villa balbianello, I really reccomend a visit there, ask me for details, as I am a qualified guide. the villa was used for lots of films, such as 'A month by the lake', Star wars, the return of the clones, and the latest, Casino Royale, Swirzerland is just across the mountains and Lake Lugano, although very different, is very beautiful and offers walks and shopping. St. Moritz, the jet set resort is a few hours north of the lake and I can offer you the possibility to ride on the Bernina express train, across glaciers to enjoy breathtaking views.
