The house is set in the middle of old chalets in the quiet center of old Brienz (near the Wieslplatz). The apartment is on the ground floor of the large, newly built 'Chalet Zwymatte' The apartment will sleep up 4 - 5 persons in single beds, two of wich will accommodate guests up to 65 m2 tall. The apartment includes a dishwasher, SAT TV and radio. Its interior is finished in attractive blond wood. A clothes washer for guests use in the building's basement. Brienz is about 15 minutes form both Meiringen and Interlaken - perfectly situated amidst the grand scenery of the Bernese Oberland and as a central base from wich to explore even the far reaches of Switzerland.

Brienz, the Swiss centre for woodcarving, has maintained its historic character and has many ancient chalets on its narrow, curving streets. Lake boats depart from the Brienz main station across Switzerland's cleanest lake, Lake Brienz, for Interlaken. Steam & diesel cog-rail trains depart from a small station across from the main rail station for the hour-long climb to the top of the 7'ooo foot high Brienzer Rothorn ridge. Brienz is about 15 minutes form both Meiringen and Interlaken - perfectly situated amidst the grand scenery of the Bernese Oberland and as a central base from which to explore even the far reaches of Switzerland
