Chalet Backershage is located in the quiet residential area Vizcondado de Cabanyes. It is a well-maintained, renovated and modernly furnished house of about 120 m2 (including terrace). Enjoy its big terrace of about 26 m2 with barbecue and lovely views to the sea and forests as much as the nice, terraced garden on a plot of about 700 m2. You will not have to share the chalet and garden with anybody else! It is ideal to relax and doing nothing! What do you think of a cup of wine on the terrace in the evening, under a sky full of stars? The next beach is only at about 5 km and 5 minutes by car. The Suma-supermarket is in Calonge, at about 2'5 km.

The residential area Vizcondado de Cabanyes is located in the town Calonge, between Palamós and Platja d'Aro, where you can find whatever you prefer, from far reaching and crowded to small and almost private beaches. Enjoy a stroll along the old part of the city and the large harbour of Palamós, well-known by its annual Christmas-Race. On the other hand, Platja d'Aro offers you a lot of restaurants, coffee-shops and the main-street with pine and palm-trees which is interesting for shopping.

Route to Vizcondado de Cabanyes: Once in Spain take the exit nr. 7 Girona Sud - Sant Feliu de Guíxols from the motorway. You will find it at about half an hour from La Jonquera, the border. Drive to Sant Feliu de Guíxols - Platja d'Aro. After Platja d'Aro you will find the exit Calonge (the drive Girona - Calonge takes you about 35-40 minutes). On the exit Calonge you get to a roundabout, where you will see an iron ball. Turn around it 180 degrees to a second roundabout. There straight on direction Romanyà de la Selva. After about 300 m you will find a petrol station on your right-hand-side (Petronor). Do NOT turn right to Calonge, but straight on direction forest. Nearly at the end of the forest turn left direction Romanyà de la Selva - Vizcondado de Cabanyes. Straight on until the roundabout sign (at about 800 m from the petrol station). There you will find the information of Vizcondado de Cabanyes (written in big, white letters).

We took our bathcloths with us, just in case, and spend a lovely time with beautiful weather: fantastic house with everything you may need and to highlight the amazing views... Breakfast outside on the terrasse, delicious lunches and dinners, games... Lovely, lovely, lovely! We went for a stroll on the beach with our dog, next to the camping benelux... She enjoyed it too! Golf: The nicest and well-known golf courses on the Costa Brava, like for example Mas Nou in Santa Cristina d'Aro, are only a short drive away.

"Wir wurden von der liebenswerten und stets hilfsbereiten Kontaktperson vor Ort sehr freundlich empfangen. Sie wies uns ausführlich in die Örtlichkeit ein.
Das Haus machte einen sehr sauberen Eindruck. Das Gelände bzw. der Garten war gepflegt. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist vielleicht der etwas zu geringe Bestand an Porzellan, wobei das bei zwei Personen noch kein Problem war.

Die Zimmer waren recht klein, aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Die Einrichtung war - für ein Feriendomizil - völlig ausreichend. Die Betten ermöglichten einen guten Schlaf, da die Matratzen qualitativ gut waren.
Das Wohnzimmer ist mittlerweile etwas anders eingerichtet, wirkt auf den Bildern eher fein. In Wahrheit kann man sich aber dort sehr wohl fühlen.
Das Haus bietet für den Morgen und Nachmittag die Hauptterrasse mit Meerblick sowie eine Terrasse unter den Arkaden und für den Abend (auch bei etwas mehr Wind) eine Terrasse zur Straße hin. Man sitzt überall geschützt und privat.
Man kann das Haus wirklich weiterempfehlen. Das einzige was fehlt, ist ein Pool. Schön ist auch, dass man das Haus und das Gelände komplett für sich alleine hat.

Man ist in wenigen Minuten mit dem Auto in Calonge oder an der Küste, wo es mehrere Supermärkte gibt. Die Möglichkeiten zu Fuss vom Haus aus irgendwo hinzukommen, sind sehr gering.

Lohnenswerte Ausflüge sind Girona (sehr schöne Altstadt), Banyoles (schöner See), die sehr schön restaurierten Orte Begur, Peratallada, Pals oder auch die traumhaften Buchten im Hinterland von Palafrugell wie Sa Tuna oder Tamariu.
Für Kunstliebhaber bieten sich die verschiedenen Dali Museen und Objekte an. Sehenswert sind auch das Cabo de Creus.
