An introduction to Corralejo:
Corralejo Situated on the northern tip of the island, Corralejo is a popular beach resort with splendid views across to Playa Blanca on Lanzarote.
Although the town boasts its own series of sandy coves, the spectacular sands of the Dunes Nature Reserve lie just 3km to the south. The streets of the resort are lined with shops and restaurants and at the older end of town is a small selection of attractive bars. For those looking to explore, the ferry crossing to Lanzarote takes around 35 minutes, and there are about five services daily in each direction.
WindSurfing Holidays To Corralejo:
Fuerteventura offers a variety of conditions depending on the time of year and location; from super flat shallow lagoons to full on wave sailing spots. We know this area extremely well so please call for a personal account and advice on suitability.
CORRALEJO - FLAG BEACH: Facing Lanzarote, Corralejo was once a small fishing village, now it is a thriving holiday town. The town is on one side of the large bay with apartments and hotels spreading round to the other. Flag Beach is about 4km from town, looking out towards Isla de Lobos. This area has hardly developed and the windsurf centre is across the dunes right in the middle of this long sandy beach.
WINDSURFING SAFARIS: There are many other more secluded spots all around the island (including some awesome wave sailing) that are best accessed on a safari. You can join groups of up to 6 windsurfers of similar standard, and be taken by 4x4 to a new spot each day.
