Looking down on to the town of Varenna, these apartments offer the perfect self catering holiday rental whether it be winter or summer. All apartments are decorated and furnished to provide luxury accommodation, with most having excellent home entertainment systems. All five apartments are fitted with modern full kitchens and bathrooms ensuring a comfortable stay. The apartments are perfect for romantic, family or even holidays with friends as all provide versatile living accommodation. The properties are based in Varenna, the 'must see town' whilst on the lake, with its enchanting alleys and restaurants, it provides the perfect base to see the true Italy. It also has a foot and car ferry port meaning exploring the lake has never been so easy. Varenna has good easy access to local ski resorts and has its own train station with regular trains to Milan.

This brand new, Vista D'Oro Residence has been built on the site of a disused quarry that once supplied the black marble used in the construction of the famous Duomo in Milan. This well designed, contemporary, one bedroom apartment offers generous living accommodation for two people and has the 'biggest' views imaginable over the 'bijou' town of Varenna & Lake Como and they can only be described as SPECTACULAR! The extra-ordinarily large living room windows & vaulted wooden ceilings, let the sun flood into this lavish but cosy living space where you can wine & dine from the kitchen area, spilling out onto the balcony from where you won't be able to prise yourself away! Varenna is one of the most picturesque towns on the lake, its steep winding alleys lined with charming homes, flowering balconies and lace-curtained windows. Just above it is the ancient Castle of Vezio where Theodolinda, Queen of the Lombards, is said to have died in the 7th century.

Varenna is ideal as base for exploring Lake Como. On the Golden Triangle, with Rail, Foot, and Car Ferry links it's the perfect location.Varenna is the place to get away from it all, but also be in touch with the rest of the Lake. For the romantics, the historians or for those who love peace, tranquillity and a history that goes back thousands of years this is the place.Varenna is an ancient fishing village with close to 1000 residents spread along a steep hillside overlooking Lake Como. We recommend Varenna as a base for exploring due to its location on the so called 'Golden Triangle'. For the more athletic then there are lots of walks up hills and down valleys. For example, Perledo, only a 3 minute drive is a good hike and results in magnificent views over the Lake. The altitude also proves a bonus on blisteringly hot days.

    There is a final cleaning cost of €70 when staying for one week & €90 when staying for two weeks with all bed-linen & towels included. If staying for two weeks or more – the bed-linen & towels will be refreshed after each week. All utility usage such as water, electricity & gas, are included in the rental price.

  • Payments by Credit/Debit Card & Wire Transfers
    There are no additional charges for credit or debit card payments. However, all bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender. Travelling to Varenna : Payments by Credit/Debit Card & Wire Transfers There are no additional charges for credit or debit card payments. However, all bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the sender. To make a confirmed booking, you will be asked to fill in our booking form online and pay a 30% deposit. The remaining balance will then be due 6 weeks before arrival.There is a regular shuttle service from the airports Milano Malpensa and Milano Linate to the Central Railway Station of Milan. The fare from Malpensa to the central station is about 7 euros, and that from Linate to the station is less than 3 euros. From the central station there is regular train service to Varenna The nearest major Air Terminal for Varenna is Milano Malpensa International Airport and more recently Bergamo Airport. To arrive from Malpensa or Bergamo you should ideally hire a car or alternatively take the airport shuttle bus to Milan and then a train to Varenna itself.

Getting Around Lake Como: Steamers, boats and buses all serve the lake with good connections to towns and villages all over Lake Como. A frequent boat service. The frequency of the services increases in peak season i.e. from May to September but also operates in the winter months. A less frequent but faster boat travels the full length of the lake from Como (with stops at most of the above). Buses run approximately hourly all the way up the west coast from Como round to Colico at the north-east point. Varenna is very fortunate in that it has both passenger and Car ferry available. You may also want to hire your own boat and sail around the lake.

Eating Out in Varenna : Varenna has a number of popular and not so well known restaurants!. Some of these restaurants are based in hotels and some tucked away down the cobbled back streets of Varenna or on the water front. Wherever you eat you will enjoy the cuisine and local ambience however!
