Newly available, Springfield House is a four bedroom detached house and is situated in the rural village of Speeton on the Flanborough Peninsular, halfway between the popular coastal resorts of Filey and Bridlington. The house is 400 meters from the cliff tops and a footpath from the village gives access to the beach from where you are able walk the full length of Filey Bay. Bempton Cliffs RSPB Sea Birds Nature Reserve can be reached by a walk along the cliffs and is regarded as one of Britain's most important habitats for seabirds. There are over 100,000 breeding sea birds present from March to October including Puffins, Gannets, Kittiwakes, Razorbills, Guillemots, a few Peregrine Falcons and many passage migrants. The Honey Pot Inn is a short walk away from the house and shops are to be found in nearby Hunmanby (4 miles) Filey (5miles) and Bridlington (5 miles). Please note: The access on foot to the nearest beach is via a cliff path, steep and narrow & degraded in places

Coast magazine, 10 Best Coastal Birdwatching Spots: In spring and summer, these dramatic chalky cliffs are home to 200,000 breeding sea birds, including everyone's favorite characterful bird, the puffin. Five clifftop viewpoints allow great views of them,all busy incubating eggs, nesting chicks or hunting food (watch the puffins with eels dangling from their beaks as they return to the nest) The puffins leave in July but autumn brings migrants, such as chiffchaffs and willow warblers.

I had a great time in Bempton and this well equiped house was perfect for making the most of the area of outstanding naturel beauty. Great pubs and plenty to do for me and my family.

I hope to go again for longer next time.
