Beautiful rural retreat

Review Submitted: November 8, 2009 Date of Stay: October 2009
We had a wonderful half-term break at the converted farm house. We were fortunate with the weather, and there is lots to keep everybody occupied in the area. There is plenty of space in the farm house, and we especially enjoyed having breakfast in the conservatory. Two good pubs in walking distance as well! Hope to return again in the future.

Pithouse Farm

Review Submitted: October 13, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
We very much enjoyed our stay at Pithouse Farm, a lovely period home complete with antique furniture, interesting pictures and a nice collection of pots and various objects giving a very homely feeling.. As for the views, one can drive all over the place in search of the all too elusive spot to stop and admire them when in fact some of the best views are from the house and the public footpaths on the ridge.. The conservatory and the garden were also much appreciated. We would love to go back..

Heavenly Farmhouse with Views

Review Submitted: September 29, 2009 Date of Stay: September 2009
It was a real pleasure to stay at Pithouse Farm. From the moment you step inside there is a wonderful warmth, and cosy feeling to the place, great antique pieces of furniture, rustic beams and breath taking views of the countryside from every window. It was a pure joy to wake up and look out at the wonderful countryside every morning. The garden is a haven for wildlife and there were plenty of fresh herbs and courgettes to eat, even a bbq so with the excellent weather we ate out often in the garden. The cottage was clean and is well equiped, when we had a minor problem with the fridge setting Steve the caretaker was very helpful and at 9.30pm on the first night he came immediately over to sort it out. Ross-on Wye is a quaint, quiet town with two good supermarkets and coffee shops plus really interesting antique shops to browse around, We spent a week here and enjoyed every moment of our stay so much so that next year we hope to come back and rent it for a month we have 2 year old twins and they had a fabulous time wandering the lanes, looking out at the sheep, chickens and other wildlife.

Our Family Holiday

DCJLH Lugarno, NSW. Australia
Review Submitted: August 11, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We had a fabulous time at Pit House Farm. The descriptons were very accurate but we were still stunned with the reality! Perfect for our family and visiting friends. The farmhouse was well presented and tidy. The customer service we received was excellent, nothing was too much. We would thoroughly reccommend this property to all our friends.
We found the local pubs great value and very friendly. For the kids Whittingtons farm has an indoor fun house for any inclement weather!

Ourselves and our family had a lovely time staying in this beautiful old farmhouse. The location was really good looking out onto fields with sheep and cows, but within walking distance of a very nice pub that served delicious food.
We would definately consider going back and would recommend Pithouse farm to our friends.
