Sabaudia town was built by Mussolini for the Venetians and reflects the clean-lined architecture of that period.The area is rich in mythological history,medieval towns and natural beauty.From town the bridge over the lagoon leads to the seaside with a 23km ridge of unspoiled,fine-grained sand dunes covered with typical Mediterranean vegetation of juniper and coastal pines,with boardwalks leading down to the beach. Local attractions - Islands: From May to October a ferry makes a daily return trip of 1 hour from the nearby port of Circeo to the exclusive Ponza island where small motorboats and pedalos may be rented.The coastline offers many secluded bays,grottoes and the transparent water is perfect for snorkelling amongst the fish. The pretty harbour with restaurants,bars and shops is a perfect haven from which to admire the visiting yachts and 'star-spot'

Lagoons,coast & forest: There are 2 natural salt-water lakes surrounding Sabaudia. Lake Paola,where canoe teams train and championship races are held.Lessons for sailing,canoeing and water ski-ing at all levels are available and boats may be rented. Lake Foligno is home to many species of wildlife and is a unique area for photographers,painters and nature lovers. The 100 km sandy and rocky coastline 'The Ulysses Riviera' with it's history-filled bathing resorts is interesting to explore.The UNESCO protected national park with trails amogst the eucalyptus trees,picnic tables,wild animal reserves and a museum (the remains of the Neanderthal Man were found nearby) is a perfect retreat from the beach.Bicycles are available to rent in town.

Day trips: Sabaudia is situated half-way between Rome & Naples an ideal position for a daytrip to the Eternal City and archaeological sites of Pompei .

Perfect location to relax and have fun with the family. The dunes are spectacular, miles of golden sand, sea calm and crystal clear. We went jogging on the beach, rented bikes and picnicked in the woods, climbed Circeo mountain,the viewand sunset were unforgettable. Local people were really friendly, great restaurants, my grandchildren said the pizza and icecream were the best ever tasted wlilst we found the local wine and seafood delicious. The villa was very pretty, clean and comfortable with a lovely homely atmosphere. The owner was most helpful and courteous, we will certainly return next year.

It must be amongst one of the most beautiful in the world, combined with excellent cuisine and delightful surroundings it certainly is a great place for a holiday.We do hope you return again, there is so much to do and visit. Perhaps take a daytrip to visit the Island of Ponza, rent a little motorboat or canoeing on the lagoon.

The villa is a very nice place to stay for a summer holiday, is very clean and the owner is a wonderful lady who makes you feel like you are her most precious guest and friend. Pizza is great, the water and the beech are superb and people are very friendly. And when we wanted to add that little bit more excitment to our holiday we went to the AeroClub, witch is 5mins. drive away, we rented a private airplane and flew over the coast, enjoing the views over Sabaudia, St, Felice Circeo, Terracina and Gaeta. We were all thrilled, it was a fantastic experience. We would recomend this property to everyone looking for a relaxing holiday near the beech.

we are a family with two young children the house was very clean and comfortable and very safe for the children we enjoyed our stay the beach is sandy and great for the children we also travelled to ponza which is great for snorkeling .
A great family desination
Owner's Response: The completely enclosed garden where the children can play does make it a delightful haven to relax in at home, whilst the sandy beach,warm sea and town just a few minutes away is the perfect location. A daytrip to the pretty island of Ponza for boating and snorkelling is really unique.
