Villa Aspro is close to the fishing village of Ancient Epidavros with its picturesque harbour and traditional Greek tavernas. A safe beach is 300 m down the hill. This area, of the Peloponnese, has many ancient sites and beautiful towns - the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus, Mycenae, Nafplio, Argos and Corinth. This Greek villa is set in a quiet location with Olive groves to the front and rear. Villa Aspro is a spacious villa has marble floors throughout. On the ground floor the hall, dining area, kitchen and living area are open plan with large patio doors onto a spacious balcony with magnificent views across the sea. The kitchen has a full oven with ceramic hob, large fridge/freezer, washing machine and microwave. Also on this floor is a bedroom and large bathroom. A marble staircase leads to two bedrooms with en suite shower rooms and French doors to a large balcony with sea views.On the upper terrace is a swimming pool and patio.

Travel distance from Athens Airport is between 1.5 to 2 hours. The property is situated in an area of Olive and Cirtus groves on a hillside in the Gialasi region with its safe beach for swimming and water sports. Gialasi is immediately south of the picturesque fishing village of Ancient Epidavros which has a lovely 'lagoon' harbour and quay. Many shops and restaurants are situated around this beautiful setting. The view across the sea to the islands of Egina, Agistri and the volcanic peninsular of Methena are stunning. Ancient Epidavros has its own ancient small theatre which is a must to visit.On a grander scale is the world famous site of Epidarus which is inland, a drive of 15 minutes away. Allow at least four hours to visit this fascinating site with many building and a museum (please, do not hesitate to contact owner for website links). Corinth, Nafplio and the island of Poros are less than an hour away. For a lovely sandy beach, visit Tolo on the way to Nafplio

  • All bathrooms/shower rooms have sanitary ware in white with white tiling to two metres high. Wall tiling has a grey feature dado. The floors are marble tiled. All showers have curtains to contain the water within the shower tray. All bathroom/shower rooms have central ceiling lights with mirrors and lighting over the basins. There is a safe power supply in each, for shaving. There are towel rails throughout with heated rails for use at cooler times of year.

Both bedrooms have twin aspect windows. The ground floor bedroom has twin single beds with French doors onto a small patio area with sea views. All windows and doors have curtains, fly screens and shutters.

Notes: A welcome pack is provided on arrival. Towels are changed twice a week and bed linen each week. The swimming pool is cleaned regularly. The pool and garden are maintained to a high standard. The boiler, for the central heating, is oil fired ( NOT gas) and housed in a separate boiler house. All electrical connections are on fused trips. The property was completed in 2003 and has been maintained to a high standard since then. The water is drinkable from the tap, however, bottled water is readily available from super / mini markets. Other Activities:- Bird watching ( there are many species around the villa), boat trips to the islands, walking and swimming, visits to the ancient sites. Opera, concerts and plays at the the local theatre and at the large theatre of Epidaurus .

We had a fantastic holiday in this property in July 2009 with our 3 kids. Magnificent view from the 2 terraces with nice and clean swimming pool. Quiet area. Spacious and clean house with all comfort. Excellent service of the housekeeper Kostas.
