Villa Anka is located right on the sea (only 10 m from a small beach). Split International Airport is 6 km away and the historic town Trogir, one of the jewels of the Dalmatian coast, only 2 km away. Villa Anka offers its guests a five big apartments (60 m2) with two bedrooms and huge terrace (25 m2), AC, SAT-TV, bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The suite has a terrace view of the sea and a separate entrance. The villa has its own parking lot. You're also welcome to use our grill. The nearest restaurant is located 3 min away. You can also choose one of the many restaurants in the nearby fishing-village Seget, which is 200 m away from the villa (a 10-minute walk on the seaside promenade). Villa Anka has the Croatian Tourist Board license. It's a small family-run business and we'll make our best to provide you with an excellent service and give you a memorable experience of the Mediterranean as it used to be.

Trogir, a beautiful historical UNESCO-world-heritage 'town-museum' is only 2 kilometres/less than a mile away. Trogir boasts not only historical monuments, but a variety of restaurants, bars and night clubs. Split is 26 kilometres (a half an hour drive) away, with Dioclecian Palace, shopping, clubs and restaurants. Our house is located near a small fishing-village (10-15 min walk), where you can experience the true Mediterranean, away from the hustle and bustle of bigger tourist centres. Ours is the perfect location for all those who want to have the benefit of being close to a bigger, tourist town, but want to enjoy and relax in peace and quiet as well. For this reason, it is also ideal for families with children.

How to get there: By plane: Split International Airport is only around 5 kilometers away. From there, you can take a taxi to our house. It's advisable to ask for the price in advance. (We haven't had any complaints by now, but extra precaution can't hurt.) By boat or by train to Split: the Split bus terminal is right next to the train station and they're both conveniently located in the harbour. There are buses from Split to Trogir approximately every hour. By car: If you're driving on the motorway from the direction of Zadar and Sibenik (from the North or the West), after you pass the towns like Sibenik and Primosten, small villages like Marina, you will see the sign for Seget Donji. When you see the sign for the hotel Jadran, take the next small exit to the right in the direction of the sea (50 meters from Jadran - a small pine forest separates the house and the hotel). Our house is right by the sea.

Brilliant Unspoilt Location

We wanted a quiet break with a mix of sightseeing and lazing in the sun with a bit of swimming and nice meals out. We had one of the newly updated top floor apartments which have superb sea views from your bed of which we never tired. The arrival of hot doughnuts for breakfast a couple of times and the willingness of the owner to respond to requests was great. The furnishings are adequate but not luxury, you could do with more cooking facilities if eating in, but fine for occasional cooking and eating out which is much cheaper than UK or Eurozone. Most importantly the beds were comfortable and gave no back problems.
The Villa is a 7min walk from excellent local small harbour/restaurants and the boat to Trogir takes 10mins every hour if you want more choice. It's a great base for touring and despite being 10mins drive from Split airport has no aircraft noise. You could get away without a car but you'd miss some of the local bays and further eating and sightseeing options. We'll be back to Croatia soon and would recommend Villa Anka.

Relaxing holidays

I had a very nice staying at Vila Anka, which is located at only few meters from the beach. I could really enjoy the sea, the swimming and the long walks along the promenade without the noise of the traffic. At the same time, Trogir is very close and it was nice to spend there few evenings, eating at restaurants and so on.
The apartment itself was also in very good conditions, very new and clean and the beds were so comfortable! From the bed you can enjoy the view of the see and it is a very nice way of waking up!
The kitchen was also well featured, the only thing we had to buy was a colander for vegetables and pasta because there was none and I did not want to disturb the owners for such a little "problem". But I am sure they would have helped if I had asked as they where all very kind.

Great peaceful location

The house is so close to the sea that we could literally see each other swimming from the balcony. The kids loved it! The balcony is HUGE. The rooms were clean and sunny. Trogir is beautiful - it can even be compared to Dubrovnik, only smaller. Seget is very charming and authentic, we loved eating in old-style restaurants - conobas. It was sometimes really hot (une vraie canicule!), so we had to run the AC a lot. The best thing was a walk from Seget to Medena - you can walk for half an hour by the sea with no cars, traffic, noise...

Very nice apartment

We stayed over the UK half term with our two young children in one of the renovated apartments on the top floor. Cannot fault it at all. Very clean and neat with fantastic views from the balcony and bedrooms. Would recommend.

We ate out locally most nights in Seget or towards Medina Beach. Easily within walking distance with the kids. Small shop in the nearby camping site suitable for most basic essentials.

Only downside we found was getting into Trogir without having a car. Bus service was bad, (but we were there out of peak season so may be better then), but taxis very relaible.
Owner's Response: One useful piece of information for our guests: in June, July and August, there's a tourist boat every hour from hotel Jadran or Seget camp (only 50 meters from the house) to Trogir (the journey is only 15 minutes long) and it also returns from Trogir every hour. Departures are from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m.
There's also a boat from Seget to Split twice a week.

Great Balcony

The villa was in a great location in that it is close to the sea. We could let the children play in the sea while sitting on the terrace. Gets sun in the mornings. Close to Trogir but would need a car to get there. 10 min walk to Cavtat with a couple of nice restaurants. Property clean but bathroom TINY with rubbish shower and kitchen not as in the picture but also very small and dark. No lounge. No consumables left out for us - would have been nice to have washing up stuff, sugar, salt etc.
In the area - Trogir nice. Market on daily and a great fish market. Krka National park is a must - so beautiful.

Owner's Response: There are four rooms in a different price range: two are brand new, luxury and more expensive, two are older and cheaper and will be renovated this fall. We never send pictures of the new, luxury rooms to our guests (the kitchen on the website is in one of them) if they want to stay in a cheaper suite. If there were no differences between the rooms, there would be no price range either. We also try to offer fresh fruit from our garden and local pastries to our guests, but can't put the consumables like sugar or flour in the kitchen since we consider that it wouldn't be sanitary if different guests used the same packages of sugar or flour (and it would be a waste to throw them after every guest). To clear some confusion: Cavtat is not even near our area (it's in Dubrovnik area, 250 km away). We're thankful for the review since we're dedicated to constantly improving our offer.
