Photos and Description of this Chamonix holiday apartment This newly renovated and stylish apartment in Chamonix enjoys spectacular views.

The interior has been finished to a high standard with many designer fittings including a hand made, excellently equipped kitchen and dining table. The open plan living area also has a comfortable seating area, flat screen TV with blue-ray DVD player and doors which lead onto the terrace. The large luxury bathroom has twin basins, a large shower and washing machine/tumble dryer. The master bedroom has a comfortable quality double bed and the second bedroom has a bunk bed, single bed and additional pull out bed, sleeping a total of 6. Apartment Moodi is located in the centre of Chamonix and is just minutes walk away from shops, bars and restaurants and only 100 metres from Europes highest cable car, the Aiguille du Midi (3842m).

Chamonix is the hub of this world famous ski and alpine area, situated in the north west of the Alps 15km from both the Italian and Swiss borders. Mont Blanc (4808m)and its chain of peaks dominate the valley. Chamonix is probably best known as the skiing and alpine capital of the world. As a destination it has a reputation for the extreme and this, whilst undoubtedly true, can mask a wide array of other sporting and leisure activities that can be enjoyed here. A mecca for mountaineers, you can also walk the hundreds of miles of beautiful footpaths, try mountain biking, paragliding, play golf or just enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful place. Chamonix town has a cosmopolitan feel and a vast selection of restaurants and shops. The town is at the foot of Mont-Blanc and following introduction of skiing in the early 1900s Chamonix hosted the first winter Olympic Games in 1924.

Although Chamonix is renowned as an expert and intermediate area, there is something for all abilities, from complete beginner to expert. Chamonix offers over 12,000 vertical feet of skiing and boarding with over 150km of groomed pistes, a snow park and some world famous off-piste routes including the fantastic Vallee Blanche accessed by the nearby (50 meters away) Aiguille du Midi cable car.(Book a guide!, it's a serious mountain experience) This beautiful Valley is a world renowned mecca for mountaineers.Whether you want to summit Europe's highest peak or try out rock climbing for the first time, Chamonix has it all, in the Summer or Winter. For hiking, there are hundreds of well-marked trails which offer a superb range of walks for walkers of all levels of ability. The scenery is breathtaking

Chamonix info:: Chamonix is still considered the birthplace of mountaineering and alpine activities. In summer as well as climbing and walking, Chamonix is a centre for parapenting, rafting, biking and even golf. There are marvellous some mountain hikes to be enjoyed. The town has a huge range of bars and restaurants providing a variety of cuisine and fine dining from local Savoyarde through to Italian, Indian and Chinese. Superb luxury apartment next to Midi Station

I've lost count how many times I've stayed in Chamonix over the past 20 years, initially as a poor student roughing it in a tent. Since getting married I've returned to Chamonix with my wife and son a few times, and each time the accommodation improved in quality. I wanted to make a real effort this time so I emailed my requirements to High Valley and they recommended Apartment Moodi.

Well, what can we say?! The choice was superb and suited our needs perfectly due to size, fixtures and fittings, decor, parking, location ... everything. The apartment matched the description exactly, was tastefully renovated with a traditional yet modern feel and was very clean. The views were stunning too.

The service provided by Andy and Becky at High Valley was excellent, both before and during the visit, and we couldn't have asked for more help and advice. We'll definitely recommend the company and the apartment to our friends and family, and we'll be coming back ourselves soon ... probably later this year when we do our paragliding course! Which reminds me, for those wanting to try or learn paragliding we'd recommend Ailes du Mont Blanc. And after a hard day climbing, biking, paragliding, walking, rafting, etc, you can't beat the ale in the Micro-Brasserie de Chamonix (near the paragliding landing field and marked MTB routes).

Great apartment

Our group included a snowboarder, two beginner skiers and an expert skier and we found that the slopes had something for all of us. the apartment was supberb, clean, spacious and had everything we needed. In the evenings, we stayed in more than we usually would on holiday because we were so comfortable and warm! When we did venture out there were lots of good bars and restaurants to choose from and we had a particularly good meal at "Munchies" in Chamonix centre.We had everything we needed and it was great to have a washing machine and tumble drier. We hope to come back again next year, thank you!
