Romantic 200 year old stone house with pool, recently renovated in traditional style. Located in quiet valley in village of Alaro at the edge of Sierra de Tramontana mountains. The house is on the uppermost lane of the village in premier area with spectacular views of mountains, countryside and village. The house faces south east and the 3 double bedrooms all have wooden floors and enjoy the stunning view. Sitting room, dining room, modern kitchen, 2 bathrooms (one en suite). Roof terrace, romantic terraced garden, pool, bougainvillea covered pergola for outdoor dining, BBQ, 180 degrees panoramic view from pool and garden. Available for self catering summer holidays..

Unspoilt traditional village in Sierra de Tramontana mountains. Alaro is away from tourist areas but easily accessible from Palma/Inca motorway. The village has a large old town with narrow streets and stone houses with tiled roofs. There is a central square with ample bars and restaurants, two supermarkets, several banks, chemist and newsagents. There are trains every 15 minutes to Palma with its cathedral, palace and other historic monuments, plus excellent shopping opportunities. Alaro has stunning mountain views, a ruined castle and restaurant on the way up. Although ideal for a quiet holiday away from tourist areas, there are frequent local fiestas including that of the patron saint during the week ending 16th August, with many events including giants, street painting for children, devils dancing and fireworks. The white sandy beaches of Alcudia, Muro are within easy reach of Alaro, as are Pollensa and Formentor, Soller, Deia, Bunyola and Orient .

Notes: This is a traditional village house built on the side of a hill giving stunning views over the village of Alaro, the countryside and mountains. The romantic private garden and pool area are above the house, making this area inaccessible to wheelchairs and less than ideal for toddlers. All garden furniture is teak and includes dining table and 4 chairs, plus 2 director's chairs and 4 reclining deck chairs. There is a pergola shaded by bouganvilla and other climbers, plus a sun umbrella. The dining table and BBQ have lights for evening use. The garden is watered by an automatic system and the pool is serviced weekly. This house is my home during most of the year and as such is very well equipped and furnished.

We stayed in the first two weeks of august and had a wonderfull time ,we were lucky enough to witness a weeks build up to a festival with spanish dancing very loud firecrackers ,children painting the roads plus lots more.There is a very nice restraunt called Traffic in the main square but our favorite with a menu to suite all members of the family at a reasonable price was 1901 just off the square,there are numerous bars to dampen down the dust of a hot mallorcan summer.A car is not a must but recommended as there is so much to see within thirty to forty mins drive.The location and accommodation is typical of our family holidays, and having stayed in quite a few around the med as an all round package this is up there with best we have had.

We rented this lovely house in the end of June 2009 for two weeks and had a wonderful time.
The house is very nicely located close to the village center but still very quiet and private. In the village of Alaro you could find everything you needed nearby and the village square was a sweet meeting point for residents of all ages. Genuine Mallorcin and few tourists around.
The house was nicely decorated, comfortable and practical. Everything was clean and very well kept and the kitchen was fully equipped. We had a wonderful stay and will be sure to return to this lovely house hopefully in the near future.
