For those without a car, although it is possible to walk downhill into the centre of Nice, we would expect most guests to take advantage of the cheap and frequent local buses. The closest bus stop is just a couple of minute's walk away at the bus stop Moyenne Corniche. From here, you can catch the not so frequent 82 down into Nice or out to Eze Village in the opposite direction. Around 10 minutes walk from the apartment in the other direction will take you to the bus stop Maeterlinck at the junction of Boulevard Carnot and Boulevard Maeterlinck for the very frequent 100 TAM bus which will take you down into Nice bus station via the Port or the opposite direction eastwards through all the coastal towns, including Monaco, as far as Menton. Near this bus stop is a Champion supermarket.
As soon as you enter the apartment you can see breathtaking, panoramic views of the sea, the city of Nice and its beautiful Château Hill and the mountains of the southern French Alps. The views can be enjoyed from all over the living room and the dining room as well as the kitchen and of course from the balcony that surrounds the whole living area. The sun shines through two beautiful French windows and floods the entire apartment with light. At night, it is wonderful to gaze out at all the city lights twinkling below you. The open plan L-shaped kitchen is modern and fully equipped. The fresh, bright white units house a large fridge and freezer, dishwasher, built-in oven with extractor fan, electric halogen hob and plenty of cupboard space containing all necessary utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware to cook and entertain. A microwave and coffee machine are also provided. A small breakfast bar with high stool seating provides an informal place to perch.
The living area is open plan to the kitchen. Pale parquet wooden flooring has been laid throughout the whole apartment which makes it cool underfoot in the summer and wonderfully warm in the winter. Guests may relax in full comfort on two new contemporary black leather sofas. The sofas are complemented by sleek modern furniture also in black and look very chic against the gentle cream walls. On the walls, stylish black and white art work completes the look. A red rug adds a touch of warmth and colour. A flat screen TV offering international cable TV with English channels and the DVD/ HiFi tower in a cabinet next to the window provide entertainment and if that is not enough, WiFi internet access is also available from this apartment should you wish to bring your laptop. In the area adjacent to the kitchen, elegant dining for up to six people is possible at the large smoked-glass table furnished with six comfortable leather chairs.
