An attractive Cottage in a very peaceful rural area not far from the historic town of Cluny in Southern Burgundy, France. The cottage can sleep up to 4 people with more accommodation available in the main house across the courtyard. The two properties enjoy a stunning location with panoramic views across the valley and the 12m swimming pool is an added bonus for summer users. PLEASE NOTE: as stated above 2 Extra bedrooms and an adjoining bathroom are available in the main house by negotiation giving a potential of sleeping 8/10. Not rented separately.

The historic towns of Cluny and Taize are nearby, with Macon, Beaune and Dijon within easy distance. Being one of the most famous wine regions in France there are a number of 'wine routes' discovering the delights of the grape. There are plenty of activities around to suit all ages from sight seeing to roller skating down the 90k length of the old disused train track that runs through the stunning Burgundy countryside. There are many famous Chateaux in the area with Cormartin being one of the closest.

Notes: A self-cattering cottage with all the usual modern equipment including washing machine, dryer, dishwasher etc. The property consists of a large double bedded bedroom on an upper 'mezzanine' floor with fully fitted kitchen, bathroom and living room downstairs. The living room can accommodate a double 'sofa' bed or 2 'Z' beds for children depending on your requirements. The bathroom has a seperate shower and bath as well as a WC and washbasin. The living room has folding doors which open out onto the courtyard, garden and swimming pool.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay in August 2008. Richard was a fantastic host and extremely helpful with local knowledge.

The house is very comfortable and the kitchen well provisioned which made life easier with two small boys! The garden is enormous, so plenty of space to let them run free as well!

They really enjoyed the swimming pool which has alot of safety features - good peace of mind for us.

The house also proved to be a good base for exploring the local vineyards, Cluny (beautiful) and a day trip we did to Beaune.
