For the Children - All along the beach front are play areas with slides, swings and small football pitches. There is a good outdoor play area in the centre of Garrucha for all ages.
Water Parks - Parque Aquatico Vera - just a 20 mins drive to Vera or Mario Park Parque Aquatico, Roquetas de Mar - Approx 1 hour 30 mins drive away offering plenty of slides, pool, wave machine and kids pool.
Wild West Theme Park - Oasys 'Mini Hollywood', Tabernas - 1 hour by car, and highly recommended, Mini Hollywood is a theme park and zoo set in the desert landscape of Tabernas.
Horse Riding - Available at Cueva del Loba Riding, Mojacar Playa - 5 mins by car, located on the beach front offering lessons or trail rides with certified instructors. A short drive from the vapartment ( approx 30 mins) is Rancho Cabrera - where Rancho Cabrera offers rides from 1 hour to a full day.
Dinning Out::
Venturing out to dine in Mojacar and its surrounding villages and towns is an eating experience not to be missed. The area's gastronomy is varied and very satisfying for both seafood enthusiasts and meat eaters. A wide selection of beach bars and restaurants along Mojacar Playa cater for almost every taste, most staying open until you decide to leave.
Mojacar Pueblo (old town) is about 5 minutes from Mojacar Playa and is an ancient Moorish village. It is located on the mountain top over looking the sea. It has narrow streets and cube-like whitewashed houses with quaint shops as well as spectacular views of the surrounding areas and is well worth a trip. It is great for exploring in the daytime and at night its bars serve some great tapas.

Golf:
Playa Macenas Golf & Beach Resort has an 18 hole golf course designed to be the backbone of the entire resort. The course combines indigenous species of vegetation with the green of its fairways and greens. There are also facilities for one to one tuition and a professional tutor for advice and lessons. Other nearby Golf Courses include Desert Springs (30 ins by car), Valle de Este (20 mins by car) and Marina Golf.
