S'Maniga is in the countryside just outside one of Mallorca's prettiest villages, Fornalutx. This newly built property overlooks farmland and breathtaking mountain scenery. The villa is built in local stone and has a rustic character but contains all modern conveniences. The large expansive terrace has room for outside dining with plenty of furniture and an outside cooking area with built in BBQ. The terrace also contains a private pool surrounded by loungers for sun-bathing. Inside the house there is a comfortable lounge with large open fireplace, Satellite TV and DVD player and a light and airy dining room with oak table and chairs.There are 3 double bedrooms one en suite and a separate bathroom with bath. The master and 2nd bedroom have double matrimonial beds and the 3rd bedroom has two single beds. Fornalutx is 5 minutes by car and provides restaurants and bars as well as a fabulous supermarket/delicatessen. A ten minute drive to the beaches. Perfect for Walkers and winter lets.

Rumoured to be one of the prettiest villages in Spain, Fornalutx is a group of honey coloured stone houses which cling to the foothills of the Tramuntana Mountains. There are several shops, a village bar situated on the beautiful square, and fabulous restaurants many with balconies to watch the sun set over the olive clad hills.It is truly a delightful village to explore with many walking routes starting and finishing in the area. Soller is a beautiful mallorcan town set around a large square and cathedral within a mountainous valley of oranges. Here you can relax while having a morning coffee or lunch at one of the many restaurants before you walk down the main shopping street of 'La Luna' .then, maybe later, you will catch the old San Francisco tram to the Port ! The port is a lovely horseshoe bay which has the actual port at one side and a gorgeous sandy beach at the other. Coupled with fabulous cafes and restaurants the Port is a beautiful, upmarket and quiet resort.

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: S’Maniga is a beautiful traditional Mallorcan mountain house with stunning views. The drive to the house takes around 5 to 10 minutes once you leave the main road, and then becomes a mixture of a single lane tarmac road with sections of gravel track. The road is well maintained and “typical” for this type of property on Mallorca, however, we would suggest that you arrive on your first day in the daylight hours so that you can get a good feel for the journey to and from the house. If you are a very nervous driver we would not recommend this property.
  • The Prices quoted are per week in Euro.
    All prices shown include bedding and towels.
    Cleaning occurs every 7 nights for longer stays.
    Prices DO NOT include flights or car hire.
    Longer stays and last minute special offers are by negotiation.
    Half the total amount of your holiday is required as a deposit when you book with the remainder due at least two weeks prior to arrival. Payment is preferred by either a cheque of via a bank transfer.
    The changeover day is usually Saturday to co-ordinate with other bookings. We prefer guests to arrive after 3pm and leave by 10am.

Notes: The terrace measures 100m2 and is paved with stone, surrounded by olive and carob trees. There are also shrubs and flowers scattered around the garden creating an ideal setting for outside dining or lounging around the pool. The property is surrounded by stone walls and secure fences with a main gate at the end of the drive and room for parking. The outside kitchen/BBQ is roofed and the patio has sun shade and 6 loungers.

Surroundings: S'Maniga is perfectly placed to enjoy Fornalutx and the mountains with their many walking paths but is only a short drive from other gorgeous places. The village of Fornalutx has some terrific restaurants, Can Antuna, if you prefer traditional Mallorquin food, or Cafe Med if your tastes are more international. The square at Fornalutx is incredibly pretty and once you have made the walk or short drive once you will definitely return again. Likewise, Soller, although larger than Fornalutx, is a true Mallorcan gem - a bustling town filled with locals and tourists alike - either going about their daily business or sitting in a cafe in the square drinking a coffee while the children run around the fountain. The Puerto de Soller is idyllic - set around a large bay with yachts to one side and a golden beach to the other. Around the whole area are restaurants for all tastes and you can watch the sun go down over the ocean, drinking a glass of wine !

S'Maniga offers a fantastic holiday in a true Mallorcan house with a stunning pool and breathtaking views. This area is part of the true Mallorca - you wont find any major discos in the town or the port and this area has become known for family holidays in true Mallorcan surroundings (no neon lights or arcades to be found) just peace, tranquillity, great restaurants, and stunning views !
