Golf:
Golf: Marina Golf is closest. Designed by Ramón Espinosa and overlooking the Mojacar beach and valley, with its famout raised tees and spectacular views – a great round for all to encounter, with some surprises on the home run. Valle del Este, is an 18-hole PGA golf course. Build to compete with top American courses it was besigned by Peter McEvoy and has stunning views, a superby beach club, restaurant, bar and pool. A challenging, yet delightful course set in the Vera Beach Desert Sprints (home to PGA overseas). Other courses are nearby, but these are by far the best and favourite, although more are still in development.
Mojacar, out and about:
Mojacar, Corner of Enchantment: Something for everyone! vast sandy beaches are within 5 minutes walk of the house; spectacular panoramic sea views from the balcony day and night; balmy, romantic walks along the paseo …. The quintasential hilltop village (Pueblo) is full of domed, white washed buildings, with it’s cobbled street and breathtaking views overlooking the lush Cabrera Mountain – spectacular scenery both inland and out to sea.
Activities include: Vast and varied. From Golf to sunbathing, scuba-diving to banana boat rides. Walking to pony trecking, go-karting to fishing. Whatever your desire – you can find in near. The dry, sunny climate is relaxing and envigorating. Garrucha (the nearby fishing village) has fresh catches daily. As well as the exciting aqua park at Vera – a must for all the family! Yet the city of Almeria with its extensive shops is only an hour away.
Eating Out:
Eating out: Within a short distance, you can expeience Spanish, Chinese, Italian, Indian, German, Argentinean and English food - all at reasonable prices. The original village, with it’s natural fuente (fountain) also has many quaint shops and plenty of places to search out a quiet drink and tapas. For desert, you could try the specialist ice-cream parlour on the beach front – Limon Y Mente.
