Do you long for sun and tranquility? You will find just that in our 2 luxury apartments here at El Dorado in sunny Andalusia. Cortijo El Dorado is ideally situated in the country side. If you feel like doing beach, day trips or anything cultural, all you need to do is get in your car and enjoy it! Because of El Dorado’s central location there is a huge variety of options for leisure available. And the airport is only 20 minutes away. The apartments ‘Estrella’ and 'Luna' are part of our renovated Cortijo. It has recently been redecorated and is fully furnished - equipped for your comfort. Of course there is a large pool with sun terrace, so you don’t need to go anywhere if you just want to enjoy then sun!

El Dorado Holidays is situated in between fields with olive and orange trees, on the outskirts of the village of Alhaurin el Grande, in the fertile Guadalhorce Valley. In the era of the Moorish rulers, this area was known as ‘The Garden of Allah’, and rightly so. Not only does the valley produce several abundant crops of different fruits and veg all year round, like oranges, pomegranates and avocado’s, it also offers some beautiful forests in the proximity. To top it off, the area is exceptionally attractive for golfers, with 5 different golf courses to choose from within 15 minutes driving distance. The old center of Alhaurin el Grande can be reached within a 5 minutes drive, and is very picturesque with its white houses and winding cobble streets. There are various well-stocked supermarkets to be found in Alhaurin, as well as more than 50 bars and restaurant. You could go out every night, if you’d wish to do so!

  • With exception of the high season, we offer flexible arrival and departure dates. In the high season, the apartment is rented out on a weekly basis, from Saturday to Saturday.
    Additional costs
    Cleaning fee (obligatory): 40,00 euros
    On arrival we will ask you to pay a deposit of 100,00 euros, to cover damages. The deposit will be refunded to you on your date of departure.
    Extra person, more than default 6 persons:

    mid season: 60,00 euros per week

Notes: ‘Estrella’ and ´Luna´ are lovely, spacious and sunny apartments, ideal for families with children, groups of friends and golf lovers. They´ve been beautifully decorated in modern style, with lots of attention for details. All the rooms have different color accents, which gives them a character of their own.The kitchens are fully furnished and equipped with a large fridge with freezer, an oven, a microwave and a dishwasher. The apartments are extended with a terrace with lots of privacy - no one can see you, while you enjoy the spectacular views! The pool has stunning views over the valley and is lined by a large sun terrace with recliners and shading. There is also a large BBQ area, to enjoy lovely meals on hot summer evenings. For children there are lots of facilities for them to play: a swing, a large trampoline and lots of space to run around in!

Stunning surroundings - Impeccable apartment

We were lucky enough to find El Dorado through recommendation. I have traveled through the majority of Spain but I have never seen such beautiful surroundings as that of the Guadalhorce Valley. It held everything that we wanted for our holiday.

The apartment was impeccable. I cannot fault it one bit. Extremely clean, with enough space for our children to go mad and run around in.

The land on which El Dorado sits has wonderful facilities, including a pool (with fabulous views) + a BBQ area and of course swings and a trampoline which my children could not leave alone.

I would totally recommend El Dorado ~ not only for it's situation near the gorgeous city of Malaga and lovely beaches, along with the tranquility that you only find in the countryside, but also for the extremely warm welcome and authentic caring attitude of Els, Nol and their children. We can honestly say that we felt a part of their family when we stayed on their cortijo and that we have found wonderful new friends in the Guadalhorce Valley.
