Photos and Description of this Carmarthenshire holiday barn
Sleeps 6. Near Llandeilo, Brecon Beacons National Park, Walking, etc.

Oakview Barn was originally converted to a dwelling in 1994. The current owners completed a sympathetic refurbishment in early 2009 and the previously unconverted area (used as a games barn by guests for the last two years) has now been converted to a 'double-height' lounge with a galleried games area over. This has provided a high quality holiday home whilst retaining and enhancing the period character.

Visit Wales have awarded Oakview Barn with a 5 Star Grading for self-catering accommodation.

A holiday at Oakview Barn, sleeping up to 6, will suit couples, families and small groups looking for an away from it all break whilst having plenty of activities locally to keep them busy, if required.

Further details for this holiday barn rental in Carmarthenshire, United Kingdom

Outside: Oakview Barn is situated in a former working farmyard which now only has occasional equestrian use. There are views to the Brecon Beacons National Park, the Black Mountain and the Towy Valley.

Access to the farmyard is via a 800 yard farm track which crosses a picturesque river. Along the track there can be frequent sightings of buzzards and red kites. The track is a typical farm track and everyday cars will be fine so long as driven with care so we suggest you leave the Lamborghini at home!

There is ample parking to the front of the barn.

To the rear, there is a private garden mainly laid to lawn but with a large decking area offering views to wooded hills. There can be frequent sightings of red kites from the garden - please see the photographs.

We enjoyed a walk every night down to the river as my 18 month old son was obsessed with throwing stones in the river & looking at the horses!

Most impressed with the accommodation and the welcome pack. The location is tranquil and beautiful.

Accommodation was exceptional. The barn is in a splendid location with beautiful views and very quiet. A perfect getaway from it.

We've stayed in quite a few self-catering places and this is by far the best equipped.
