The apartment is situated on the top floor of a chalet type residence block which can be accessed by stair or lift. The layout comprises an entrance hall leading to a very spacious lounge and dining room with doors leading outside to a large west facing balcony which enjoys fabulous uninterrupted views across the valley and to the mountains. There are 2 double bedrooms one with a double bed and one with twin beds. The bathroom has a full size bath with shower over and there is a seperate toilet. The apartment has both underfloor heating and electric convector heaters, is extremely well furnished and has luxury finishes. There is a secure underground garage with additional outside parking for residents as well as a secure ski locker. The ski bus to the Grand Massif express lift is only 50m away and takes less than 5 minutes by bus or car. Shops bars and restaurants all within 3 minutes walk.

The apartment is situated within the village of Samoens close to shops, restaurants bars and mini market. In winter the ski area of Grand Massif covers 265 km and is suitable for all level of skiers/ snowboarders.The ski bus is just 50m from the apartment. There is also plenty of interesting activities for non skiers including mountain walks, ice skating, sledging, botanical gardens and a weekly market held in the village square. In the Summer there are mountain bike trails, walking, swimming, parapenting, white water rafting, beautiful lakes and an adventure park. Annecy, Lake Geneva, Italy & Switzerland are all within 1 hours drive away for great days out.

Notes: Samoens is an excellent family resort catering for all age groups. In winter there is 265 km of piste runs for skiing and a wide variety of snow walking trails. It is possible to arrange hire of cots, high chairs and pushchairs. Summer provides a variety of outdoor activities or you can just relax and enjoy the the warm climate & local food &wine.

A great apartment for a relaxing summer holiday!

I stayed at this penthouse apartment for a week’s holiday in June 2009 and it was just what I needed to relax and unwind!

The apartment is in a very convenient location, being only 2 minutes walk from Samoens market square with its village shops, cafes and restaurants - an excellent place to sit and relax and watch the world go by! Samoens church is also located on the village square and the botanical gardens are nearby - well worth a visit! It is about a 20 minute walk to the park where you can stroll along the riverbank, hire bicycles or even try paragliding!

The apartment itself is spacious and comfortable and has been furnished to a high standard throughout. The lounge and dining area is spacious and yet very cosy. The owners have provided a TV, DVD player and music station, and there are a selection of DVDs, CDs, books and games for visitors to enjoy. There is a well equipped kitchen with all the utensils, crockery and glassware you will need. The bedrooms are well furnished and the beds, pillows and duvet were amazingly comfortable and cosy. I particularly liked the balcony - a great place to sit and unwind! It has stunning views over the village and the nearby mountains, and as it’s west facing it gets the sun during the afternoon and evening.

The owners have obviously put great thought into providing for all the holiday needs of visitors. They have included the “little things” that you tend to forget when packing and have added some lovely touches to make you feel welcome.

I’m really looking forward to staying there again in the future!
