Casa Trivala is ideal for a working break as well as a relaxed holiday as we offer: **transport from the airport or train station **ADSL and satellite TV The Old City gate is 5 minutes away. 15km of walking and cycling paths, leading to the open countryside, are 10 minutes away. A lake with a small beach is 4 km away, and the Mediterranean can be reached in one or two hours by train. For a week, you won't need a car. The house is a brand-new conversion, decorated and furnished in extravagant style. It has a large and well-equipped kitchen, a spacious and comfortable living room, and two bedrooms, each with a double bed with Simmons mattress. One has an additional single bed, the other a desk with internet access. A cot can be added if necessary. For people who want to stay awhile, and use the house as a base for touring this amazingly beautiful part of France, we offer a 20% discount

The entrance to the Old City is at the top of the street. It's charm will entrance most people for their first few days. It's a piece of living history; in the summer the knights joust in the lists and street musicians and jugglers in medieval costumes mix with the crowds, and it's full of restaurants and interesting shops. At the bottom of the street, the Old Bridge leads into the New(C14th) Town with its bars and clubs. Turn left at the bottom of the street and 15km of walking or cycling paths lead you out into the open countryside; or you can stop and fish off the riverbank. Walk through the New Town (20 minutes) and you are on the Canal du Midi; you can take a boat down the river, or bike it along the towpath. A lake with a beach, the Lac de la Cavalyere, is only 4km from the house; or you can reach the Mediterranean beaches on the train. The golf course is 1km away. In July the streets are alive with street music and theatre; in December the town square turns into a skating rink.

  • 25% deposit on booking please,by cheque in pounds or euros or via Paypal
    A further 25% confirmation deposit is due two months before arrival.
    The final 50% is due on arrival, in cash or by French banker's cheque.
    We take 250€ deposit against major accidents, also due on arrival. Minor breakages are not charged for. The deposit is returned within a week of departure, or on the day of departure if the owner is available.

This is a very comfortable and characterful property in an excellent and equally characterful location. My sister and I were very happy with our choice and highly recommend it. Carcassone itself is a beautiful and friendly place in which to spend time and somewhere we already plan to return to. Lester, the owner, was an angel, being consistently knowledgeable, attentive, helpful and even, at times, very funny:) Although there is plenty to occupy one in Carcassonne, do ask him about trips, for example to lovely Limoux, if you, like us, do not choose to hire a car and yet wish to venture further afield.

Have just returned from a wonderful week spent at this property - absolutely fantastic location for castle, within easy walking distance of new town for shopping, festivals, bars and restaurants, also very good for talking a stroll to the river midi. Can also recommend location for the fireworks on the 14th July without having to go outside your door! The owners are lovely people and they make you feel very welcome. Will definately be heading back to this beautiful place.

Both Lester and Kendle were extremely friendly and very helpful. From the cheese plate as a welcomer through to the advice on places to stay, they couldnt have been better hosts.

The house is in an excellent location litterally 2 minutes stroll into the old city. The accomodation is very comfortable and clean. Parking is easily available either outside the house or just up the road.

We had a great stay and definitely would like to stay again.

The location of the house is very good. You can reach as well old and new town in no time.
The accomodation is also very good and and more than enough to have a nice vacation.

The thing what makes it a real special place is the support of Lester(We didn't met Kendel). He is very friendly and helpful!

It was definitively a great holiday and the house is absolutely recommendable.
