Apartment Sole is sunny, spacious, furnished to a very high standard and well equipped.It is air-con with hydrotherapy bath. A large terrace surrounds the apartment and a communal garden area is outside with flowerbeds, fountain & garage. Only a few minutes walk from the CCI, Cambridge Institute, Athena and from the Medieval centre of Lanciano, ancient town of art, music, traditions and fairs.10 min drive from the sea (Costa de Trabocchi) , 30 min drive from ski resorts & the mountains (Parco della Maiella) and from The Miglianico Golf and Country Club-par 72. There are also many more other places of interest around including the hilltop village of Guardiagrele, Lago di Bomba (featuring canoeing in 2009 Mediterranean Games) and little touristic coastal villages and towns such as S. Giovanni in Venere, Vasto, ...The owners' house is located five minutes walk from the apartment so Francesca and her husband are on hand, if advice and help are needed. Airport transfer can be provided

Lanciano is very conveniently located in the Frentan area. The costa dei Trabocchi is over 60 km long and includes many small bays and coves where you can enjoy a swim in safe, clean waters. Pescara and Vasto resorts are a 50 min drive. There are many hilltop villages to visit like Grotte del Cavallone, Roccascalegna, Bocca di Valle, Pennadomo, Pizzoferrato, Gessopalena, Fara San Martino famous for the pasta makers De Cecco and Del Verde. In Lago di Casoli and Lago di Bomba (featuring canoeing in 2009 Mediterranean Games) you can go fishing. They are only 15/20 min drive away. The Miglianico Golf and Country Club, designed by Ronald Kirby, an American architect is only 30 minutes drive away.This club, featuring Mediterranean Games on 29/30 June and 1/3 July 2009, includes a club-house, bar & restaurant, swimming pool and a 18 holes course (par 72). Winter sports resorts are Passo Lanciano (30 mns drive away) Roccaraso(1 h drive) Capracotta for cross country skiing (50 min drive away)

Notes: The apartment is on the 2nd floor and there is a lift from the ground floor area. It has a large terrace surrounding it with ample spaces for relaxing and having leisurely meals and evening drinks. There are deckchairs, garden chairs and a table seating for 6. You can also use the large communal garden area outside (three thousand squared metres) with flowerbeds and fountain where children can play. There is ample parking all around the building. A garage is also available.Two bicycles, two beach chairs and one beach umbrella are provided. The apartment is not hot in the summer. In any case the apartment is air conditioned and also room fans can be provided on request .The nearest supermarket and a gym with indoor pool are only a 5 minute walk. Pescara airport, serviced by Ryan Air, Flyonair, Air One, Belle Air, is only 35 minutes drive away. Ancona airport is 2 1/2 hour drive away. Rome airports are a 2 1/2 hour drive away.

The real italian experience

We had a fantastic week at Apartment Sole. It is a modern apartment and Francesca has thought of everything to make it feel more like home. We spent our sunny mornings on the terrace and then again in the evening for pre-dinner drinks.

It was only a few minutes walk into Lanciano which is a great town with many interesting historical sites and many restaurants, bars and shops.

The sea which is only a 10 minute drive from the apartment is stunning and completely unspoilt. We visited a different cove every day and ate freshly caught fish at the many restaurants along the coastline.

Francesca was really helpful on arrival and told us much about the local area and where to eat etc. We had a blissful week in her beautiful apartment and have recommended a visit to Apartment Sole to all our friends.

Comfortable apartment - just what you need!

Very nice bright apartment arranged in IKEA style which gives you functionality. Well equipped and perfectly situated. 20 minutes far from the sea and less than an hour to beautiful small Italian towns on top of hills. If you are a night life lover you can find it in Lanciano at walking distance.

Francesca and her husband are very kind and ready to help.

Always trust Francesca's advices!
The restaurants she recommended were great. Food there was delicious and indeed, if she says go for starters, or only for pizza, do it, for she knows! Not to mention, that we couldn't have done our reservations without her help.

We do recommend this property to our friends.

We really enjoyed our stay at Francesca's apartment in Lanciano. She was very welcoming and informative. The apartment is spacious and full of light. The rooms are well-furnished and extremely organized.
Lanciano is a quaint town close to the beach, 15 minutes by car, and aproximately 30 minutes to the mountains by car.
We recommend this place.
