Welcome to Sofilia, a modern 2 bed room self catering holiday apartment sleeping 6, located just off the Tomb of the Kings Road in Kato Paphos Cyprus. The apartment is one of sixteen that make up the Sofilia complex. It is fully air-conditioned and tastefully furnished. The Sofilia complex has a communal pool with plenty of sun beds and umbrellas to take advantage of the Cyprus sun. The unique pool design has a children’s pool and a beautiful water feature. A safe is even provided for your valuables. This self catering holiday apartment comprises of 2 Bedrooms; 1 with a double bed & balcony, the 2nd with two single beds, both have mountain views and air conditioning. There is a stylish Bathroom and fully equipped kitchen. The lounge /diner area is fully air-conditioned has a leather corner sofa, flat screen TV, DVD and seats 6 for dining, leading onto a balcony with sunset views over the pool & sea. King Odysseus Bar on the complex serves food & drinks, with internet access.

This fantastic holiday rental accommodation is ideally located in the Tomb of the Kings area of Paphos Cyprus. This holiday accommodation is walking distance to a 24 hr supermarket, local shops, bakery, tavernas, bars and restaurants. The holiday apartment is less than 5 minutes from a bus stop. The number 15 bus runs every 15 minutes to Paphos old town with its designer souvenir shops & Paphos harbor with its fishing port & tourist areas. Not forgetting the fantastic night life; whether it’s a quiet meal in one of the many restaurants or a big night out on the busy bar street. The bus also takes tourists to Coral Bay in Cyprus with its lovely beach, bars and tavernas. About 1/2 mile from the holiday apartment you will find the Tombs of the Kings. The Tombs are burial caves carved into the bedrock of a hill and decorated with Doric columns and capitals, dating from the 4th century BC. It is not necessary to hire a car although it would be an advantage to discover Cyprus's beauty.

Additional information about rental rates

  • There is a refundable breakages deposit of £150 (excess on insurance) required.

    Confirm availability of apartment before booking flights, provisional apartment booking will be held for 1 week to allow flights to be booked and deposit to be sent.

    Booking only accepted/secure on receipt of deposit and clearance of cheque.

    Please note that a non refundable deposit of 25% is required to secure the booking and full payment is required 8 weeks before departure along with a refundable breakages deposit of £150 (excess on insurance). non payment of balance will cancel booking and the deposit will be forfeited.

    6- 8 weeks before arrival date – 50% of rental refund

    4 weeks before arrival date – 25%

    1- 2 weeks before arrival date – 10 %
  • If you are staying for more than one week and require a mid stay clean (remember that there are all the facilities provided if you wish to do this yourself) then you will be able to arrange this at the bar and pay direct, cutting out the middle man, saving you money. The cost of this service 40 Euros.

Golf: If you are a Golf player Sofilia holiday apartments in Cyprus has a lot to offer you. There are 3 excellent golf courses within a half hours drive of the holiday apartment. There are plans for another 6. There is Tsada golf course which is 15km to the north of Paphos, Secret Valley golf course is 18km to the east of Paphos, and the spectacular new Aphrodite Hills golf course is 20km to the east. All being of a championship standard.

History and legand: The island of Cyprus has a fascinating cultural heritage with many historical and archaeological treasures; UNESCO includes Paphos in its world cultural heritage list. Paphos is a coastal city in the southwest of Cyprus, the mythical birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite, of love and beauty. Legend has it that this is the rock from which Aphrodite mythically arose from the foams in the sea. Another legend says that if you swim around the rock three times under a full moon, you'll find true love. In Greco-Roman times Paphos was the island's capital, and it is famous for the remains of the Roman Governor's palace, where extensive, fine mosaics are a major tourist attraction. There are many historical places to visit in Paphos such as the Tomb of the Kings and the Paphos Odeon.

Skiing: If you are looking to go skiing in the winter months in Cyprus, the ski slops at Mount Olympus off the Troodos Mountains are only an hour’s drive from the Cyprus Holiday Apartment. Snow falls in January/February. You could take a ski trip and a game of golf in the same day! Really Lovely time

Came to Mark and Sofia's apartment with my wife and 2 year old son in May 2009 for one week.

Mark and Sofia were fantastic at arranging everything before we came. The apartment exceeded our expectations and the complex is lovely. Marina and the other bar staff could not do enough to help us. I think we must have been the only guests when we came as we had the pool to our selves nearly every day. There is a pool that is about 40 cm deep and also connects with the main pool that was just great for our toddler.

The bus was easy to find and quite cheap about 4 euros for all of us to get to the beach where we went twice - though we would certainly recommend going to the end of the line and taking a pack lunch (not really anywhere to buy food at this particular beach, though the other one has two), as it was so idyllic and quiet for those with youngish families. Overall we had a lovely time and wished we had come for two weeks'!

The only negative I can add is that with the current value on the Euro everything was very expensive.

A great stay at Sofilias!

We had a great 2 weeks, the weather for us was wonderful. The apartment was new, clean, brilliantly furnished and a treat to stay in. The bed was the most comfortable one I have ever slept in abroad, and that makes a big difference, the children said the same about the singles. The kitchen facilities were second to none, and very efficient. A great place.

Owners really helpful and friendly. Apartment A1 with air conditioning a bonus. Clean and well equiped. Bar/diner facilities on site excellent together with the swimming pool. Convenient location and lovely area. Alltogether well worth recommending for famillies and couples alike.
