Away from it all, at LE QUARTIER forget hectic cities, busy roads and frantic life. Our property sits in its own 13 hectares surrounding grounds consisting of fields, wood, copse and a lake (1½ hectare). You can walk along charming footpaths and watch wildlife (roe deer, ducks, herons, kingfishers and many other birds), enjoy fishing from the lake (carp, tench, etc.) or rowing a boat.Our self-catered single storey gîte stands in a converted outbuilding of our 15th century manor house. Entirely renovated in local style this semi-detached gîte adjoining two chambres d'hôtes is quite separate with private terrace and large enclosed pretty garden. It consists of a large comfortable living room with beams, sofa bed, large fireplace, a fitted kitchen, two lovely twin and triple bedrooms, a bathroom and a toilet. Patrick and Patricia, Kelly the dog and the four cats will be happy to welcome you while the two horses will keep grazing peacefully in their field.

Far from main roads Le Quartier sits amongst the peaceful rolling countryside that lies 10 k east of Combourg market town and its medieval castle. It is within easy reach of the world famous Mont St-Michel (30 k) and its magic bay, the walled city of St-Malo with its rich seafaring history (45 k), the Fougères magnificent medieval fortress, the medieval town of Dinan with its half-timbered houses, Brittany's capital city of Rennes, etc. You will discover the Emerald Coast with its picturesque footpaths and nice sandy beaches, savour seafood at Cancale or enjoy visiting castles (Montmuran, Le Hac, Caradeuc) or famous gardens (La Ballue, Parc floral de Haute Bretagne, Montmarin, etc.). Children and their parents will love La Bourbansais zoological park, Cobac leisure park, and St-Malo's aquarium. Nearby activities : the acrobatic park and sailing miniature boats at Villecartier Forest, lake swimming and sailing at Le Boulet lake, golf at les Ormes or Le Tronchet, fishing our lake.
