PAPHOS AREA:
Paphos is the most established holiday resort in Cyprus, steeped in history and home to some of the most famous architectural sites in Cyprus it attracts visitors from across Europe. Among its attractions are its ancient mosaic floors, Tombs of the Kings, a very pretty harbour and castle and more recently the sea front has undergone a complete transformation to make it car free and visitors can enjoy a stroll along the sea front and visit the shops and restaurants situated all along the front. For the Golf enthusiast the most famous Golf Course in Cyprus are located at Aphrodites Hills and Secret Valley just fifteen minutes outside of Paphos and both host many competitions throughout the year attracting celebrities. PEYIA VILLAGE:
Peyia was until recently a little known village located on a gently sloping hillside overlooking Coral Bay Beach. It has now been discovered by families and couples who want to stay in a relaxing friendly location where they can experience the real Cyprus. The village is spread out with traditional stone houses and little windy streets and at the heart of it is a very pretty stone church and a good selection of amenities including banks, doctors, two supermarkets, a fantastic bakery, butchers, fishmongers, DVD shop and launderette. It also offers a good selection of traditional tavernas where you can try the local fish or meat meze, or you can try Chloes that offers themed food evenings throughout the week
CORAL BAY AREA:
The famous sandy beaches at Coral Bay are just a few minutes drive from Peyia and Coral Bay can be seen from Peyia. Coral Bay offers visitors an alternative selection of shops and restaurants with everything from Italian, Chinese, Cypriot and Indian cuisine. Several of the larger hotels in Coral Bay have very good health spas.
Peyia edges the Akamas Peninsular a preserved area of natural beauty and habitat which is protected for the enjoyment of walkers and climbers. If you are a keen walker, climber or mountain biker you can enjoy guided tours and hire mountain bikes to venture into the Troodos mountain area.
