A beautiful 17th century chateau with a private park of 8 hectares of roses, orchards, river and lots of extraordinary plants. The chateau has been recently completely renovated with all the luxury comfort and present standards with attractive livings spaces and kitchen. All 4 spacious bedrooms with ensuite bathroom and toilet. 1 living room, 1 dining room, 1 library/TV room. All rooms are very nicely decorated with a mixture of antiques and modern. The kitchen is fully equipped and has easy access to the attractive terrace and private heated pool. Magnificent small Chateau built at the turn of the 17th Century on the edge of the ancient village of Mezilles in the heart of the Puisaye, Burgundy. Set in 8 hectares of formal gardens, parkland and forest it is a haven of peace and tranquillity!! The views from the property extend down to the River Branlin, which is crossed by your own bridge to rose gardens, orchards and meadows on the the opposite bank.

The village of Mezilles dates to the 5th Century when it was established by St Germain, the Bishop of Auxerre. It boasts an 'artisan' baker, a well known restaurant, bar and general store. It's site is most charming, with a ford (gue), 16th Century half-timbered houses and an ancient pack-horse bridge. There is much local activity including the famous antiques fair - second largest 'brocante' in France - held in August every year. In a radius of 20 kms around Medieval Castle of Druyes, here some suggestions of discoveries. Guédelon, Chablis, Sancerre, Saint Fargeau, Auxerre, Loire valley, Paris (1,5 hours drive)

The original property was extended in the early 19th Century and several additional buildings added including an Orangery and Coach House. Many specimen trees were planted within the park, which until 2005 was open the public as the Jardin du Parfumeur. Today you will find a skilful blend of beautiful flower beds, mowed lawns, exquisite topiary and old statuary, combined with a new heated outdoor swimming pool and extensive recreational areas.
