The village of Mezilles dates to the 5th Century when it was established by St Germain, the Bishop of Auxerre. It boasts an 'artisan' baker, a well known restaurant, bar and general store. It's site is most charming, with a ford (gue), 16th Century half-timbered houses and an ancient pack-horse bridge. There is much local activity including the famous antiques fair - second largest 'brocante' in France - held in August every year.
In a radius of 20 kms around Medieval Castle of Druyes, here some suggestions of discoveries.
