Suitability:
The property is ideally suited to a large group or 2 families looking to share, but retaining some independence.
There are a couple of sets of steps on the ground floor of the main house and from the terrace down to the garden, which unfortunately make it unsuitable for wheelchairs or people with very limited mobility.
The edge of hamlet location gives you a peaceful , rural aspect with views over the local river valley - yet you are close to a very well-serviced town (2km) and accessible to a plethora of wonderful attractions.
Outside facilities:
The 10x5m pool is graduated in depth to 1.8m from Roman steps at the shallow end and has an electric driven cover for security. Pool games like polo and basketball are available. Children's play equipment including a sand shell, tent and skittles are provided.
A barbecue is provided.
An old barn is to become a playroom, and currently houses a dartboard (bring your own darts), 2 bicycles for your free use, table tennis and table football. Badminton, volleyball and boules equipment are also provided.
The pool area has 6 sun loungers, tables, parasols, and a table and chairs.
There is ample parking for several cars.

There is a railway station in Les Quatre Routes du Lot (4 minutes by car) which is connected to Brive le Gaillarde by an attractive branch line. Brive has good connections to Paris (4 hours).
Les Quatre Routes du Lot has a cash machine, supermarket, 2 bakeries, pharmacy, post office, petrol stations, paper shop, wine shop and restaurants.
Martel (7km) has several nice restaurants, a covered market, supermarket, shops and full banking facilities. There are other restaurants at Sarrazac 5km away and Turenne 12 km away. The main shopping and market town in the area is Brive le Gaillarde, half an hour to the north. It has many large hypermarkets, plenty of shops and restaurants, some within the attractive old centre.The markets at Brive, Sarlat (50km) and Cahors (85km) are huge and lively. Family attractions include a steam train ride and Reptileland at Martel; Eagle and Monkey sanctuaries near Rocamadour and minigolf and horseriding at Souillac,which with Betaille has a water park.
