Casa Nova is a beautiful 18th C farmhouse in the midst of a working farm close to the Umbrian hilltop village of Otricoli. Umbria ancient medieval and renaissance history commences with the farm’s 50 hectares of agricultural land. The ruins of a small Roman municipium called Ocriculum are dotted around the farmland. The farmhouse has an above ground swimming pool and an outside dining table and benches made entirely out of ancient Roman travertine blocks found on the farm. The accommodation is on the first floor (the ground floor being used for farm storage only). The 4 living room has a large working fire-place, and the rooms are all charming and cosy: terra cotta on the floor, wooden roof, elegant and country stile fabrics and old furniture. The nearby village of Otricoli has a couple of fine restaurants and Orvieto, Lake Corbara and Spoleto are a comfortable drive away. The nearby Rome-Florence motorway (magliano sabina 2km) also provides excellent access to these two cities.

The ruins of a small Roman municipium called Ocriculum are dotted around the farmland. The farmhouse has an above ground swimming pool and an outside dining table and benches made entirely out of ancient Roman travertine blocks found on the farm, soccer and volley for the children. The river Tiber is 200 m from the house and you can do wonderful walks in the area. The 4 living room and 4 bathrooms apartment has a large working fire-place, and the rooms are all charming and cosy.
