For spectacular scenery,a visit to the Piano Grande at Castelucchio beyond Norcia is a must. The spectacular Marmore Falls in the Val de Nera are the highest in Italy. The Fonti del Clitunno, the ancient Roman spring,is just north of Spoleto. Mount Subasio towers above Assisi with a National Pk to explore. Via da Roma, a pilgrim path from Canterbury to Rome, passes near the house & one can walk it through olive groves & hillside paths. Other picturesque walks abound.
